Just when you thought he would have a resurgence after Ward he gets krushed again. What do you think, is it finally time for him to hang em up? Not sure if he’ll recover or be the same as a top fighter anymore.

As a world contender?? Definitely. He could pick up some solid wins here and there but he's done at the elite level.

I think he is, he ain’t beating Beterbiev, Gvoz, Bivol, or Alvarez. Time to hang them up, he had his run. He is too old, he is past his prime. He isn’t like Joe Calzaghe who can beat elite fighters while in his late 30’s.

It depends on Kovalev's focus. He's still a talented boxer, and you can't teach that power. He should humble himself, and get back with Jackson.

Definitely done against this level of opponent. He's not beating Bivol, Gvozdyk, or Alvarez in a rematch where thje judges wont be favoring him like they did tonight.

Kovalev looked best when he was with Jackson.

Yeah. Like I've been saying for years he was at his best back around the Thompson, Campillo, White and Cleverly days and he's definitely done now.

Okay, you think that might have had something to do with being a murderous puncher closer to his prime. As soon as he fought the elite even with Jackson his lack of training and coaching between rounds showed.

You think the Kovalev, up to the first Ward fight, loses to Alvarez tonight?

I thought he looked as good as ever until he took that right hand from hell. This is just the way it goes at the top level. Not everyone can be Floyd.

This is father time. If you go on fighting for long enough this will happen to every fighter.

The calls of china chin are ridiculous

Probably, Alvarez came to win, has one hell of a chin, and is very very good. That jab :number_one:
