No, I don't think so. Let's see: a) if Stevenson wins over Gvozdyk, why would he care about Kovalev now without Sergey's belts? (high risk/low reward); b) if Stevenson loses to Gvozdyk, he would retire or move up to cruiserweight. (In case Stevenson tries to be tricky again and somehow move away from fighting Gvozdyk at all, he will lose his belt — Egis Klimas has said that's the position of the WBC executives and I tend to believe him.)
