I said yes...I think he takes enough of them to land his own power shots which would crumple Wilder. Wilder is no Lewis and wouldn't be able to keep Tua at bay with a jab.

Maybe, but I'm not sure how many he could take.

Wilder probably knocks him out if Tua just stood their and let Wilder blast him. But in an actual fight. Tua beats Wilder if Tua is anywhere near in shape and committed like he was the night he fought Iabuchi. Wilder can't fight. And by rd five or six, it would be all Tua. Knocking out Wilder within 10rds.

It is always a mistake to give somebody credit for stopping big men, regardless of their quality.

By that measure, Audley Harrison stacks up pretty well.

Wilder is obviously not a second tier puncher, but it is far too early to start comparing him to men like Shavers!

I think there's a point where their best shot clean will stop anyone. I think Wilder is at that level, and not alone there.

Landing such a shot is another question entirely, but not the question I read in this thread.

The fight with Ike was by far the best Tua ever looked inside a squared circle, but I'm not sure that version of Tua beats Wilder, either. Wilder would never have fought Tua the way Ike did. Tua and Ike both tend to be overrated in terms of talent.

I don't disagree with u saying their are overrated as far as talent. But what does that say about Wilder if he couldn't beat them in a boxing ring?

Look at Chisora Vs Takam. The best punch, landing clean, of nearly any decent heavyweight ain't an easy thing to survive.

I think Wilder probably could have beaten those versions of Ike and Tua. Not saying it was a given, and I could well be wrong - but I think all these years later, Tua and Ike get an awful lot of benefits of the doubt.

I don’t think Tua would touch Wilder with much.

But Wilder would blast him away.

Tua was usually a very aggressive fighter but like Dwight Qawi after being hit hard by Spinks he turned timid like Tua did when being hit hard by Lewis.

Maybe but I could see like the Lewis fight a much more hesitant Tua after taking a few of Wilder's bombs. I'd pick Wilder to win
