AB has Fought no one on EA's level. EA is seasoned & ready for AB. Meanwhile Beterbeaver fighting Callin Johnson??

Beterbiev should fight Pascal that's a fight more his level right now.

    EA by stoppage!!!!

Beterbievs beaten nobody and looked vulnerable at times in the process. All he has going for him is power, hes a slow, crude plodder with zero defense. A KO waiting to happen against a decent counterpuncher. Alvarez by KO.

Fight of the year candidates should last more than 4 rounds IMO.

This fight will never happen because both guys have the same coach in Marc Ramsey.

They're stablemates I'm sure they would've sparred many times with each other.

They actually share numerous common opponents in the pros (and obviously they've both shared a ring with Kovalev, albeit Artur fought him in the ams)

    Alexander Johnson
    Rayco Saunders
    Alvaro Enriquez
    Isidro Ranoni Prieto

Beterbiev did much better against all of them

    WTKO7 Johnson
    WRTD3 Saunders
    WTKO1 Alvarez
    WTKO1 Prieto

    Now Alvarez's

    WUD10 Johnson
    WUD8 Saunders
    WUD4 Alvarez
    WUD12 Prieto

Obviously that doesn't mean Beterbiev beats Alvarez but it does give you an indication of the kind of power Beterbiev possesses and we're talking absolute wrecking ball power which is generated from very short distances.

The tough, hard punching Argentina based Paraguayan Isidro Ranoni Prieto gave Alvarez a real tough fight and he hurt him numerous times. He hurt him at the end of the first and had him in big trouble in the 6th round. Alvarez hit Prieto with everything but didn't come close to budging him.

    Here's the fight

Here's Beterbiev vs Prieto has only lost to Alvarez and Beterbiev and AFAIA he'd never been off his feet before he ran into Beterbiev. He's a very durable guy and a good fighter.

Look at the expression of bewilderment etched across Prieto's visage as he's kneeling on the canvas after being dropped seconds earlier by a vicious Beterbiev right.

Beterbiev was also a much better and much more decorated amateur than Alvarez was (the later was a good one too, though) and unlike both Kovalev and Alvarez he doesn't have any KO loses on his ledger in the unpaid ranks either. Alvarez is a very good all rounder but Beterbiev's more sturdy and durable than Kovalev, has a much better gas tank, and what with him being a devout Muslim he doesn't have any of the bad habits Kovalev has out of the ring either. He trains like a Spartan and there's more chance of a toddler being able to stand up to a flush right hand of his than there is of him slacking in the gym.

    Beterbiev destroys him.

And he destroys Kova as well.

Yeah he does. Send me a Pm if you disagree.

Hey Callum Johnson is pretty damn good for a fighter who has been at the domestic UK level for his whole career. If Beterbeaver has a shaky chin, we could see the same type of upset from Johnson who does pack a punch himself.

    Agreed

Cro cop being a heavyweight and all doesn’t help them either :uptosomething:
