But when one believes he's too good to learn or be taught anything new, he will eventually fail. I can't say Sergy came across as arrogant to me but, if he drank like some say he did, then that answers about everything one needs to know about SK's demise. I agree 100% that SK was a bad man. Never in a real bad fight. Once he was on my radar, I was locked in.

 

I'm a Kovalev fan too, but he lost fair and square. To be up on points and lose was just bad strategy. Like others said, he didn't have a different gameplan lined up to deal with Alvarez's offense. At least utilize the jab and keep the guy away, but he was leaving his hands down trying to time Alvarez coming in it looked like, and it didn't work.
