Joshua is not that big of a puncher, I’m sure he can drop and KO Usyk, but I don’t think he would drop him with anything he lands.

For some reason I see it as a very likely scenario.

Understandable and reasonable! Considering we had a little scrub and a midget with a very suspect chin in Carlos Takam literally walking through multiple of Anthony Joshua's maximum powered flush punches that landed on his face after the midpoint of their fight. But Takam is astronomically less skilled than Usyk with probably far less physical strength, far lesser durability and probably even power.

Even Parker couldn't even feel Joshua's most powerful uppercuts landing flush on his face. Usyk is simply on another level in terms of skills and talent compared to both those low level boxers / scrubs.

This. Joshua is twice the fighter Gassiev is and isn't as one dimensional. Joshua has much better punch placement, timing, and handspeed than Gassiev. Also, Joshua wouldn't be walking into jabs for 12 straight rounds.

The few times Gassiev actually moved his head and countered or decided to throw more than 1 punch at a time he was able to land on Usyk. But, for the most part Gassiev was walking into jabs and throwing wide powershots that would never hit an elite fighter. Sanchez was telling Gassiev what to do, but Gassiev would rarely do it, which is why Usyk got an easy decision.

I just want to see this fight if Joshua won't fight Wilder. People are either verrating Usyk acting like he runs through these HW easily or underrating him acting like Joshua will just be too much. One of y'all are right, and one of y'all are wrong. I think this is a rough fight for any HW. Usyk has fought HW and taken their punches. Difference is it's a 12 round fight now.

Usyk is better than any version of Golota was. I know you and several others on here will hate to hear that but it’s true. Oleksandr is a lot more mentally strong than any version of Andrew also. Time will prove this.

Usyk wins a UD in this one. He has too much movement and skill for Femi. Femi is a very textbook boxer, but lacks the movement to deal with the more unconventional style that Usyk has. At that point his greater size and strength is irrelevant because he is never close enough to Usyk to make it count.

Golota was perhaps the most mentally fragile and mentally weak boxer in HW boxing since the 1990s to date.

But yes your point is well made anyway

Usyk is clearly the better boxer but it depends on what would happen if Joshua lands 2 or 3 of his punches.

Shows how important the mental part of the sport is. Golota had a TON of physical talent. Great power, jab, strength etc. Just had a screw loose upstairs.

Andrew with Vitali Klitschko’s mentality would have been a top 3 HW in those days.
