Never? Interesting.....how long has Joe been a SMW champ again??? Newsflash: Toney maybe old but he didnt start fighting at the turn of the century:deal
Calzaghe made his pro debut in October '93. Toney fought his last fight at SMW in November '94. When Calzaghe beat Eubank, Toney was at cruiserweight. You're making yourself look sillier than usual.
Point taken:good But still had he fought Toney then I feel Joe would've beaten him and beaten him badly, mainly due to the extreme difference in speed, and Joe was hungry then......again Imagine if Joe had an American promoter.........he may have a loss or two but no shame in a loss, espescially when they are all time greats, in their prime.....
Both Calzaghe vs. Jones and Pavlik are superfights... Jones is the money superfight, Pavlik is the fight fans' superfight. I'd like to see both, and you can make and argument that Joe vs. Roy is very legitimate: Jones vs. Tito did the best PPV in the last year and a half not counting Mayweather and DLH... and he did win vs. Tito, so it's the bigger name superfight. On the other hand, I'd prefer Calzaghe vs. Pavlik first and vs. Jones after that..
I always love these so called boycott threads ..I can't wait to revisit this once most people here watch the fight .. People said they were not gonna watch the Trinidad Jones fight yet 500 k did ..Im sure the same people who said they wouldn't watch the fight will no diffrent than this one !
Maybe you've forgotten but out of 45 fights all but 3 have been "Locketts" or cabdrivers for the Unified Cardiff Ice Rink Champion:deal My hero:happy
I had forgotten that. But bar Jermain Taylor and Miranda, I can't actually name a significant fighter Pavlik has beaten?
