    Tim Bradley is one.

He didn't talk trash, a Soldier turned boxer, took them all on. Just a solid resume.

And didn't use the same old, if the money's right madness, he brought it. A shame to see such a muscular guy with little power, but he made up for it with energy, grit and ring smarts.

Larry Holmes for me is #1- hard to take the mantra after Ali & he suffered for it. Seemed to even turn him a bit bitter, he should've been recognized as a great champ while active as opposed to having to retire then see respect drip his way.

Any fighters who should've gotten respect? Maybe should've been a A side on PPVs?

Bradley was victim to the reaction of the decision in the first Pacquaio fight. Fans kind of never let that go and the same fans hated on him for fighting a guy like provodnikov and then barely winning

I felt the hate was very unfounded

Maybe add Chad Dawson to the list

You can put majority of pre-Usyk/Gassiev era CW division in there.

True, he couldn't live that Pac decision down. Notice I said decision, not win.

What about Tarver? Stallone liked him, but seemed every step up fight he got booed walking into the ring. I remember one fight hearing one of his handlers saying "thats alright we can play the bad guy" I'm thinking why? WHat did he do? LMAO!

Tommy Gibbons certainly stands out to me, he only lost to greats and proper true greats at that. Stopped only once in 106 bouts, by the great Gene Tunney. Was the first man to go 15 rounds with Jack Dempsey and its really a bit of a travesty that he was never world champion.

Good call on Bradley. I met him in Vegas and he's a cool guy. Always gave his all in the ring.

I have a ton of respect for gatekeeper type guys who always give a tough fight but aren't elite. I hate hearing them called bums on boards.

I for a time was a big tarver fan

the non effort he put forth vs Hopkins pretty much soiled his reputation

Some of those lighter weight fighters who fought for the "other ABC" organization. Eusebio Pedroza is one. Jeff Chandler, Alfredo Escalera, Harry Arroyo, etc.

Austin Trout. Usually everytime they say he's done. He always gives the top guys hell. Jermell Jermall canelo cotto Hurd. He lets you know there is levels to this. Up to today I don't think he's done I think he still has 3 years left. On him. Say what you want he's a struggle

    Wonjongkam, Ioka, Yaegashi, Takayama

They are better than merely being named as a "titlist" or "top guy."

Aside from Ortiz and Stiverne, relative to fighting for a title and/or against an elite in the division, they all were/are.
