Fact is neither of them are big draws, neither have headlined a PPV themselves to my knowledge it's definitely a risky proposition for the network if they have guaranteed them big sums.

Wilder and Fury can talk up a lost of interest but creating a media storm is one thing, putting bums on seats is another.

Haymon should have secretly paid Franny P to fall over Scuba style to sell this ppv. Will it even fill a big room in NYC or Vegas?

Breazeale has no speed, he is slow as hell, the only thing he has in common with Wilder is height, that's about it.

This PPV won't sell well in US.
    It just won't.

    I’m not denying anything.

Wilder using the word bomb upsets you. Yet Northern Ireland supporters and residents for years and years actually bombed people and killed innocents — so what’s the problem, snowflake, someone using the word or the people who still harbor the terrorists who actually killed people with bombs?

If he would have fought and beat Anthony Joshua, he would deserve respect. But he was afraid to sign the contract they sent him.

But he knows Fury has declined due to inactivity, drug abuse and excessive weight gain and loss. That's why he's fighting Fury now, instead of waiting until next year, when maybe Fury can get back to at least 75% of his former self.

It not near the best version of Fury, he looked improved on his last fight but let's not be pretending Pianeta is anything above domestic level, he was KOd by Kevin Johnson last year.

Fury shows some flashes of what he's capable of but he's easy to hit, not so fluid as he was with his movement, his timing is off still. He should bridge the gap a bit more with his next camp but I think they've made a mis-step taking this fight too soon, he's a good year and at least a couple of fights of being back to near his best.

I'll be limping on a Wilder KO here. He'll get credit for it and it'll build the Joshua fight even more but people will also rightfully point out that Fury was on the back of a three year coke and booze hiatus with a win over a blown up Cruiser and a guy Kevin Johnson KOd in seven a year prior.

It is what it is but can't blame Wilder for taking it, it's his biggest fights and likely biggest payday to date. If Fury isn't at his best then that's on him, not Wilder and a win will give more for Wilder to take to the table in future negotiations for Joshua.

Still though he has a lot to lose. A loss means no belts, no unbeaten records and he got beat by a guy whose been on the lash for the last three years and as now still looks a couple of stone overweight.

PPV Stateside AND the UK they were saying just days ago. I was struggling to believe it would be PPV over here anyway and especially after tonight. Can see them persevering in America though. They trying to increase Wilders status quick time like they are trying to close the financial gap to Joshua.

I think its a case of both camps being too eager to put 2 fingers up to AJ & Matchroom. In reality, this fight will not do well in US PPV market.

Ward v Kovalev did less than 200k buys and that was between 2 top 10 (top 5) P4P guys, one being the best american fighter of the last era excluding Mayweather.

How in the world could a fight between a guy who only just stepped up to fight a top 10 opponent and a guy who has just come back from a 3 year hiatus possibly gain interest to generate 500k+ ppv buys in the US.

As for the UK PPV, i cant see many paying 20 quid at 4am to watch unless there was loads of casual interest which i doubt as the fight will be in the US.
