Maybe he's holding back his skill set and want the public to think he has lost it until he outboxes Wilder.

He looked pretty good last night. He had a lot of moves. He never looks sensational.
I've watched Tyson Fury his whole career and this was better than many of his performances. He used to be way sloppier than this.
It's impossible to judge how far below his best he is at the moment, because Pianeta isn't any good. Fury won easily, every single round.
It's also impossible to know how much progress he can make over the next 3 months.

Of course, with almost 3 years out and ballooning to 380 pounds he'll probably never get back to what he was. But you can't say for sure what he's capable of yet.

He coasted in first gear and treated it like a spar. Was in full control throughout. He never once went for a finish. He looked fresh as a daisy when he finished.

Doesnt matter if prince patel could knock this geezer out fury made no attempt to

I haven't really said enough to be wrong !
I don't know what people expected to see. Fury won every single round easily. He had punch variety and footwork and feints, he boxed pretty good. Against a meaningless opponent. So the jury is still out, surely.

I've got the answer to help Tyson. :)
He needs to establish a hard jab to keep Wilder honest...which he does not have sooo...he can wear one of those baby carry things on his chest & put GGG in it,let him make Wilder cow tow because I can't see Tyson avoiding Wilders bombs all 12 rounds...will have to be either very lucky or carry GGG...:)

He won every round easily. He barely got hit. His opponent took no risks. Fury showed better stamina than many critics were claiming he could have.
Fury's never looked amazing. He just keeps winning, and often very easily. He's awkward and big and unpredictable, a nightmare, but he never really looks great.

Not sure what his performance has to do with Hearn, AJ, Finkel, Warren etc.

Obviously Fury's credentials are that he dethroned Wladimir Klitschko less than 3 years ago, and hasn't lost since. He's in decent shape now and wants to fight the best. It is what it is.

Looks about the same as he ever did to me. At least he didn’t punch himself in the face with an uppercut last night.

Yeah, he looked exactly the same when he beat Wladimir. Fair and balanced assessment.

If he established a hard jab, that may be enough to get the KO.

At this point he has less of a chance than Conner did with Floyd....Sad but true

Wilder and Fury are both entertaining and exciting
I am looking forward to this as Fury is 110% convinced he can win and that makes him dangerous as always

He tried a bit to knock out Pianeta at the end and it didn't happen. I think vs Wilder he needs to lose more weight and be more mobile and he can win the fight. He can spoil his way to a victory over Wilder with some turbulence.
