@Scissors already started the Fury-Wilder one, i’ll start this one. This is a mouthwatering fight and i’m honestly torn about which way to go with these two. I genuinely really enjoy watching both fighters who are stylistically very different. Frampton is going to have to be in peak condition for this because Warrington brings a huge work rate and is very underrated in how he moves in on the inside with the angles and movement. Whereas, Frampton’s footwork, is judgement of distance/range and is shot accuracy is excellent. He’s economical with his shots but hurtful, whereas Warrington throws a higher frequency of hooks and overhand shots. I’m leaning towards Frampton on points but you can’t write Warrington off.
Also went for Frampton on points. You've stated it all perfectly, don't have more to add. I think Frampton is a level above Warrington, but Josh looks like he's improving and proved against Selby that he's a lot better than first thought.
Gone with Warrington on points. Not really a fan of either fighter and I do think Frampton although the better fighter does seem to have lost a step since he's moved up and Warrington was excellent against Selby. Hope Frampton wins so we don't have to endure Warrington banging on about Leeds....how he's from Leeds....how Frampton will be facing Leeds etc.....but something tells me Warrington Knicks this in the later rounds on points.
We know what Warrington brings to this fight, a lot of heart, determination and underrated ability. Frampton of a couple years back would be a guaranteed win for me as he oozes class and is a level above Warrington. Although Frampton is the talent in this fight, there are concerns about his love for the game. If he ain't in boxing for the right reasons then Warrington could be a nightmare opponent. However I will go with Frampton points win or late stoppage.
Did you notice he got caught a few times last night n showed he was slightly hurt for a brief milli second a bigger puncher could have capitalised and hurt him bad
I think this will prove to be Warringtons year. Josh isn't particularly great at anything bit he's a good all rounder. His defence is fantastic tho and if you think about it, you never see him getting caught clean upstairs. Josh imposing a high tempo will be crucial for his strategy, he can't let Carl fight at his pace you need to apply pressure, not let him think straight. Josh is capable of this with his work rate and fitness. Whilst Carl was enjoying to watch last night, I didn't see anything that is going to derail Josh.
I think Frampton may be on the slide, only beat a b level fighter last night and an old Donaire previously, so ill change my vote to Warrington by KO.
Frampton points for me. He hits hard enough to deter Warrington, he's the more skilful of the two, and if reports are true, Frampton is at his physical peak and still improving. He beat Donaire over 12 decent paced rounds, and last night he was only getting stronger as the fight went one. Warrington is young and fresh, probably just about to enter his peak years, I get that. But if anyone asked you what Warrington's biggest advantage over Frampton was you would probably say work rate. Frampton's stamina and work rate are apparently greatly improving and so far against lesser opponents he has proved that. If Warrington can't overwhelm him in late rounds how does he win? Frampton on a clear points win in a fight that was competitive throughout.
2 years ago - Frampton no problem. Now I think Frampton will never be the man again who beat LSC and Warrington shocked me in his win over Selby. In all honesty, I simply don't know who is favourite for this fight now.
OK I'm going with framton on points here. My only concerns about his winning is that Carl is smaller... Warrington isthebigger man. Also we don't know how good Josh is/can be. Is he on the upward trajectory and possibly Carl on the slide? Is he getting Carl at just the right time? Are the doubters right? Possibly. Bottom line... Josh has only one top win, Selby, and there are massivequestions about Selby condition in that fight. I feel beating the shadow Lee Selby , in one fight, is not grounds for picking him to defeat frampton. Was Josh that good... Or was Lee a ghost of his best? Lee looked like a death camp survivor at the weigh in. He liked awful in the ring that night. Josh caught Lee at just the right time. But.. ...: Let's notforget in his previous fight he only barely beat a washed up liking Martinez. Only barely. Carl stopped and widely outpointed prime kiko. As for the rest of Josh's cv.. .. So it's Carl on points for me. If Josh does beat Carl fair n square I'll be the first to salute the man, but personally I don't think he can do it.
I would have to go with Frampton he has looked impressive in his last couple of fights think it will be a points job. I think Frampton will just be too clever catching and countering and outbox him. I know we all said the same about Selby but Frampton has fought a higher level than Selby and more experienced. take nothing away from Warrington i didn't see him beating Selby but I get the feeling that Selby should have moved up in weight a while back he looked drained.
I'm going to go Warrington points, I just see him out working Frampton down the stretch to nick it by a point or two.
