That is total BS. Ortiz is in his late 30's or early 40's at most. Ortiz is probably the hardest hit heavyweight in boxing today. Why do you think people are still ducking his. I hope he gets a rematch with Wilder because he may have stopped Wilder if it were not for the ref cheating. Fury is out of his mind coming to the USA to fight Wilder. No way in hell he will win on the cards. Fury is about a year away from being ready for Wilder or Joshua or Ortiz for that matter. To be honest Fury should fight David Price next. Price has a glass chin but Fury lacks power. At least Price probably will test Fury's chin to see if he can handle Wilder type power if he gets hit. Fury probably will lose to Wilder but Fury is hard to hit when he is in shape so who knows.

just that you have to write "early 40s at most" speaks volumes

Yeah, early 40's, same age as Wlad was when he dropped and nearly stopped AJ.

this makes my point even more so if you accurately depict the fight as one sided apart from the flooring. We need to get past defending against 40 year old men who we know wont last 12 rounds.

I know this thread is a joke ... but if Alexander Povetkin beats Anthony Joshua, Povetkin will be the SECOND-OLDEST man to win a heavyweight title.

    George Foreman was 45.

Alexander Povetkin will be 39 when he steps in the ring.

    That's pretty old.

Funny thing is I give him a real shot at winning.

Povetkin is one of the more busier heavyweights, in terms of throwing punches.

He doesn't lose many rounds in any fight.

I saw a treatment for: 'Indiana Jones and the lost birthplace of Luis Ortiz' a few years ago. Indy faced his toughest adventure yet as he went looking for the most ancient settlement known to ancient man. With only some faint scrolls written in a mysterious dialect long lost to mortal ken as well as a subscription to Ring magazine and ESPN+ Indy crosses continents pursued by a shuffling wheezing ancient man who will doubtless catch him if he takes sufficient quantities of blood pressure meds.

Luis Ortiz is in the new movie Alpha, about mans first encounter with a dog, pre Ice Age. As yet, not heard who will be playing Luis Ortiz.

    Tales of time's long past...

The caveman warily scanned the trees
Was it a mammoth or Luis Ortiz,
Either were deadly but nothing more than,
The dangerous fists of the wily Cuban,

The Ancient Egyptian stood by the Sphinx,
Scanned the horizon as slowly he thinks,
Does that man in the distance mean troubles in store,
From the look of his stance he's a Cuban southpaw,

Napoleon's army was broke on the field,
The battle went well till their fate had been sealed,
By a shuffling man in a boxing costume,
Twas old Luis Ortiz that brought on their doom,

I can't believe that this old decrepit boxing relic has so many young hungry top ten contenders running for the hills as if he was Hannibal at the gates if Rome

yes i understood wilder, even when you lampoon his bad pronunciation, but bjs was speaking in tongues. this isnt a brit vs american thing, so dont get your panties in a bunch, its a legitimate observation that shouldnt be taken personal... unless you speak like bjs also.
