    Really? Or perhaps redemption?

Either way he's taking a fight both Hearn and AJ avoided.

Sorry I lost track, who are you talking about?
Very true. Whereas if Wilder loses his belts and record he's worth far less in the US market I think Fury would be able to point to his time out and say 'I stepped up too soon but at least I had the bottle' and not lose too much credit with UK boxing fans. With Fury's mouth he could easily build with a couple of domestic warm ups and be a viable contender for a stadium fight against AJ within 12-18 months. I think Eddie though is signalling that his value in the discussion would be diminished.

AJ v Fury does lose something if Fury gets destroyed tbf. Wouldn't write the fight of entirely though. Hearn was part of the team that put Audley Harrison in a world title fight PPV (with one undercard fight that aired) so he himself knows that if there is an angle to sell.something then he will, even if the fight loses its lustre in terms of Fury no longer being what he was.

If Fury loses it just means he has to build his way back to that spot and likely take a fair cut in what figures he gets from it. The winner gives themselves a big boost at the negotiating table though so Wilder v Fury has a lot of stakes going forward. Still though, I guess that's what we all want from fights, everything on the line.

Sure the Wilder fight would have priority if he beats Fury but why ruling out a possible Fury fight in 2 or 3 years? Fury and Joshua both still young, younger than Wilder by the way, and who knows what will happen to TF after he loses to Wilder? Maybe he will retire afterwards, possible, maybe he will train even harder and come back stronger. Looks like Hearn want so have some publicity as Wilder/Fury stole it from him and his cashcow.

Interesting would be what happen if Wilder beats Fury and then Joshua. Haha.

People completely missing the point here......

    Wilder didn't have the $50,000,000

Yeah they're both talking utter nonsense.

Fury's sudden concern for the honour of British boxing does make me vomit though, considering what he's done to the sport with his various antics over the past few years.

Hearn is probably right in this instance. If Wilder beats Fury then interest in Joshua vs Fury will have fizzled out to nothing, at least in the short term, while an eventual Wilder unification will be even more anticipated as there'd no longer be any other fighters with a credible championship claim.

Fury is a mentally unstable drug addict, if he lost to Wilder he'd probably succumb to his addictions and disappear again.

So you want Joshua to face the loser of Wilder-Fury?
    Is that what you're saying...

Far far better a prospect than Whyte or Miller, which is what Hearn wants.

Styles make fights. If Fury gets chinned by Wilder does that mean he has no chance against Joshua? It’s heavyweight boxing ffs.

I don't think so but it would be a long road back for Fury to get into position.

He would need to beat some top ranked fighters and look damn good doing it

I'd rather him face the winner not loser.
Sounds like you want to keep AJ away from Wilder.

Obviously I would prefer Joshua to box the winner. We all wanted him to box Wilder instead of Povetkin.

I’m saying that if Fury loses it ought not to rule out a fight with Joshua.

Are we really going to be this pedantic these days on the forum?

Right now between between Fury, Wilder and Joshua, a loss is huge, it means a huge stock drop

This has already happened to Whyte and parker. Doesn't matter what they do in the near future, they are still the men who lost to AJ
