Yes Fury did largely the same against Wlad, and no Wlad isn't a bum, but there is a difference. Fury, I believe, beat Wlad outside the ring first, psychologically...and that contributed more than anything to WK's non-performance in that fight. Still Fury just danced around and was awkward, but he didn't exert himself as much as he should/could have since he most just threw arm punches which was kinda silly against a largely considered non-threat like Pianeta who near any other top 10 would have dropped or at buzzed good. Fortunately for Fury, Pianeta is past it and couldn't pressure him really at all. With this said, I say he IS out of shape, especially given his age and experience.

 Pretty sure Wlad-Fury is the only HW title fight to feature both a challenger and champion who had punched themselves in the face prior.

Still, no one else can even pivot all that well these days. Tyson beat Wlad by twisting the angle on him. It's not even high level stuff in the big scheme of things but for the HW division having a half decent jab and the ability to pivot makes Tyson Fury about the best we got.

I'm convinced 99.99% of these "Fury looked bad" posters are drama fans.

They aren't fight fans. They have no idea what they're watching.

Fury didn't look bad necessarily, but he looked only a fraction of himself and isnt in shape for a championship match, as attested by his own crew and himself.

Most active heavyweights could lose 15-20lbs minimum if they were more disciplined with their eating habits. Heavyweight has the worst conditioned fighters or all the weight divisions and it's all down to self control around nutrition. I'm in better condition at 44 than most of these 20-30 something 'professional athletes'. Rant over
