I never really scored it. But i remember Floyd being quite dominant.

Floyd Mayweather vs Ricky Hatton

R1 - Mayweather
R2 - Mayweather
Hatton started strong but Floyd kept picking him off with pin point counters.
R3 - Mayweather
R4 - Mayweather
R5 - Mayweather
R6 - Mayweather?
Such an ugly round and the point deduction. Otherwise it might have been Hatton's best round.
R7 - Mayweather
R8 - Mayweather
R9 - Mayweather
R10 - Mayweather TKOs Hatton.

Floyd outclassed him. Hatton arguably won one round on my card.

What a ridiculous crowd! Hatton really had the greatest fan base, didn't he?

Both men fought dirty. And the "ref didn't let Hatton fight on the inside" argument is BS. Holding down the head and punching behind the back is not a legal move. Nor will any ref ever allow it.
And when they were in a clinch while allowed to do so, Floyd would get the better of him.
But the ref did let Floyd get away with bending down so low and holding behind the head. Hatton just had the wrong approach.(head locks and such)

Joe Cortez ****ed up that night. He was horrible. Maybe he was bias, maybe not, but he could not control that fight at all.

Hatton showed great(relatively speaking) footwork. It helped him get Floyd out of position and out of balance in the first round.
But his head movement! There just wasn't any! Al he had to do is keep up an active guard and move that head a little, and Floyd would have had a much harder time figuring out how to hit him.

Round 3: 10-9 Leon
Round 4: 10-9 Leon
Round 5: 10-9 Leon

Round 12: 10-9 Arguello
Round 13: 10-9 Arguello
Round 14: 10-9 Arguello
Round 15: 10-9 Arguello

My Score: 146-138 Arguello

Official Scores: (146-139 Arguello) (146-139 Arguello) (145-140 Arguello)
Winner: By Unanimous Decision to retain the Super Featherweight Championship of the World Alexis Arguello.

Many of those in the media and experts were ready to write Arguello off after what was ruled a loss to Vilomar Fernandez. Stating 135 was a bridge to far, to ambitious, a 3rd weight class was to much to today's game, so Alexis went about proving the naysayers wrong and reestablishing his star with this fight. Arguello is my all time favorite fighter along with Matthew Saad Muhammad, Duran, Hagler, Barrera to name a few. So this time in boxing history is close to my favorite as all of Arguello, MSM, Duran, Hagler, Leonard & Hearns were in the springtime of their career's.

Mate Parlov vs Marvin Johnson (December 2, 1978) (15 Rounds for the WBC Light-Heavyweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Johnson
Round 2: 10-9 Johnson
Round 3: 10-9 Johnson
Round 4: 10-9 Johnson
Round 5: 10-9 Johnson
Round 6: 10-9 Johnson
Round 7: 10-9 Johnson
Round 8: 10-9 Johnson
Round 9: 10-9 Johnson
Round 10: TKO

My Score: 90-81 Johnson (ATOS)

Official Scores: (N/A)
Winner: By 10th round Technical Knockout to win the WBC Light-Heavyweight Championship Marvin Johnson.

Marvin Johnson is not as talked about as the other big name LHW's of the day, mainly because he usually just came up short against them (having 2 wars with Saad Muhammad that he was in neck n neck until the KO) Ko'ed by Mustafa Muhammad and so on. But Johnson is also the first man ever to win/regain the LHW title on 3 separate occasions. This is his first title win, and as you can see he's absolutely relentless not giving Parlov a inch to breath, and blasting him with shot after shot for 10 rounds. After 3 rounds Parlov's face is already falling apart, after 4 rounds Parlov is gasping for air in the corner, it would only be a matter of time. Excellent performance by Johnson (what a awesome right hook he possessed), unfortunately for him his first defense he looked to gain his measure of revenge against Saad Muhammad from their fight of the century type fight in the first go around. It didn't go any better the second time around for Marvin.

Roman ''El Chocolatito'' Gonzalez vs. Francisco ''Chihuas'' Rodriguez Jr. @ 10 rounds flyweight division.

Round 1 - Rodriguez 10-9
Round 2 - Gonzalez 10-9
Round 3 - Gonzalez 10-9
Round 4 - Gonzalez 10-9
Round 5 - Gonzalez 10-9
Round 6 - Gonzalez 10-8 (Rodriguez got a point deducted for stiff arming.)
Round 7 - Gonzalez TKO

In retrospect this was a good win by Gonzalez, since Rodriguez would go on to become the unified strawweight champion. The fight itself was a pretty good one. Rodriguez started off well, standing his ground against Roman, but with each passing round the pressure was starting to get to Rodriguez.

I found the stoppage to be a little premature, Gonzalez was on his way to stop Chihuas, but Rodriguez was still in there trying to win.

A lot of talk and controversy about the fight and the result last month between two undefeated prospects. A rematch is set for late September at the Haney/Burgos undercard. Just watched it for the first time and made a more detailed RBR.

The official scores were 76-75 Mattice, 77-74 Hamazaryan and 76-75 Mattice so Mattice won a split decision officially.

Thomas Mattice vs. Zhora Hamazaryan 8 rounds @ lightweight | 20-07-2018

Round 1: 10-9 Mattice
A close round where Hamazaryan started strong cutting the distance and working at the inside but Mattice dominating after the first minute working the jab quite effectively, controlling the distance very well and also throwing some quick 1,2 attacks. Mattice landed more and threw more imo so he should take the opening round although it was a close one.

Round 2: 10-8 Hamazaryan
Mattice starting the round working the jab, Hamazaryan picking up the pace, missing a jab but landing a big right hand to the chin afterwards which drops Mattice. Mattice clearly rocked and hurt, looking a bit shaken after getting up, he comes back and Hamazaryan trying to finish him but Mattice escapes with moving smart and clinching at the inside. Hamazaryan landing another right followed by a good body shot, Mattice in trouble trying to move away and clinching but it doesn't work, he is caught at the ropes and eats another big right hook. Mattice in total survival mode, it doesn't look good as he isn't throwing anything for about a minute, both landing on the canvas after wrestling each other down, no knockdown counted but some seconds for Mattice to recover. Another big right hand from Hamazaryan, body shot from Hamazaryan followed by an uppercut. Mattice isn't punching back at all, Hamazaryan is doing what he wants to do although he is lacking the big shots to hurt Mattice but still he is one or two big shots away from stopping Mattice here. Another right hand landed by Hamazaryan. Mattice not fully recovered yet as he is moving weirdly but at least he is moving so he avoiding a lot of shots and surviving the round. The stats are saying Hamazaryan outlanded Mattice with 19-4 landed shots.

Round 3: 10-9 Hamazaryan
Mattice recovered pretty quickly and well during the break and coming back strong, he lands several good shots in the first minute while Hamazaryan missing a lot. He is also moving in a more natural way by now looking back in the business out there. Mattice back working the jab right into Hamazaryans face. He is also controlling the distance very well now like he did in the last two minutes of the first round. Mattice mostly controlling the first 90 seconds of the third round but Hamazaryan picking up the pace in the second half of the round landing a good combination there, also establishing the jab a bit better, this was a major problem in the first half as he didn’t throw a proper jab that landed. A good right hand by Hamazaryan opens the last minute of the round. Mattice looks a bit gassed in my opinion, breathing with an open mouth isn’t a good sign in the third round of an eight-round bout. Another good right hand by Hamazaryan followed by a left hook by Mattice and a left uppercut by Mattice. Good exchange there from both although those shots aren’t that powerful. Hamazaryan landing a left hook and a right jab, Mattice landing a right and the round ends. Close round, definitely the closest round so far. I think Hamazaryan outpointed Mattice in the second half of the round with the bigger shots, he was a way more accurate overall there.

Round 4: 10-9 Hamazaryan
Hamazaryan starting very aggressive, throwing some nice punches at the inside, Mattice trying to establish his jab working from the distance but getting countered by a left. Mattice still trying to work the jab, throwing it to the body and the head, a double or even a triple jab. The first half of the round is very competitive, Hamazaryan looking slightly better as Mattice is nearly constantly on the backfoot moving out. Mattice doesn’t look as he is feeling comfortable at the inside, hasn’t found the right shot selection for having success there while Hamazaryan waiting for Mattice to throw some hands as he is open for big counters. Hamazaryan working at the inside with some good body shots, also working to the head, looks really good, compact short hands. Interesting stats relevaed as Mattice only landing 18% of his jabs while Hamazaryan landig 26% after four rounds.

Round 5: 10-10 Draw
The first minute of the fifth round clearly goes to Hamazaryan who landed a few clean punches on the face of Mattice who is constanly on the backfoot. Mattice clearly having big problems to establish the jab as Hamazaryan is cutting the distance very well working pretty effective at the inside. Good 1,2 combination from Hamazaryan to finish the first minute. Good counter right hand by Mattice to finish the first half of the round, first bigger shot landed by Mattice this round after 90 seconds. Both fighting head-to-head at the inside while Mattice trying to land his long shots but he still isn’t finding the perfect distance to do so. A nice right uppercut by Mattice finishing the second minute of the round which was much more competitive than the first. Mattice looking much better in the last minute of the round, landing a couple of good shots at the inside following by really good body shot to the liver.

Round 6: 10-9 Hamazaryan
Very shaky first minute, both missing a lot but also defending well with high guards, Hamazaryan throwing more but also missing more. Mattice countering well from time to time. Mattice moving a lot now trying to leave the dangerous zone and throwing some jabs and uppercuts but missing most of them. Hamazaryan landing a good overhand right, another good right afterwards, definitely raising his accuracy in the last minute of the round, another good left hook by Hamazaryan, he is stealing the round with that as it was a pretty equal round in the first two minutes. Both trying to work to the body but missing due to a good body defense. Mattice landing a double left hook to the head, both landing a left right at the bell. Close round but Hamazaryan clearly pulling it out with his activity.

Round 7: 10-9 Hamazaryan
Very active start from both, Mattice moving a lot while Hamazaryan trying to close the distance. Mattice landing a good counter right while Hamazaryan responding well and unloading tons of shots, he misses a lot but some went through and connecting. Good right uppercut by Hamazaryan at the inside, Mattice very cautious with a high guard there but Hamazaryan working well at the inside landing uppercuts and body shots, both working head-to-head and there it is Hamazaryan landing a big right hand clean, Mattice hurt nearly losing balance going backwards and trying to escape while Hamazaryan chasing after him but Mattice clinching his way out of the trouble. Still 90 seconds to go in the seventh round. Mattice in trouble going for the clinch immediately at the inside, Hamazaryan trying to escape from the clinch but Mattice is holding like a stalking girlfriend. Mattice receives a warning for holding. Mattice only moving and moving out for at least a minute, throwing absolutely nothing, Hamazaryan isn’t going crazy as he has the round in his bag and he doesn’t need to risk anything but he is still trying. If Hamazaryan can land something big this might be a 10-8 round for him but Mattice is moving well, avoiding nearly everything that is thrown by Hamazaryan. Big 1,2 by Hamzaryan 20seconds before the bell followed by some body work and uppercuts. Really good stuff by Hamazaryan here, big round that SHOULD close the deal here, no way Mattice can win the fight on fair scorecards at this stage but we all know that something different will happen in about five or six minutes. Round finished by some clinching at the inside, no thrown punches for about 10 seconds in the end.

Round 8: 10-9 Hamazaryan
Hamazaryans corner tells him to „finish him“, Mattice looks hurt and exhausted. He still sits on his chair although the bell already gave the signal for the last round. This tells us pretty much everything. No sign he will put up a fight here for the last 180 seconds, it almost looks like he already gave up and accepted his defeat. Hamazaryan starting aggressive, picking his shots with massive power, Mattice hiding behind a high guard at the ropes. Steve Farhood has it 5-2 for Hamazaryan, giving the first and the fifth to Mattice. Looks like a pretty decent scorecard. Mattice looks done, he is doing absolutely nothing in the first minute of the last round where he obviously is clearly behind on the cards, no will to turn it around and score a knockdown or a knockout. Hamazaryan still looking fresh and agile, no sign of gassing out while Mattice clearly slowed down after getting hammered, rocked and hurt several times. Mattice looks like he only wants to survive the last round. Maybe he knows that the corrupt judges are on his side? Who knows. First good shot landed by Mattice after more than 90 seconds of the round, a counter left. Mattice starting to try something but without success, Hamazaryan countering with a good left hand, Mattice stumbling backwards. A great exchange of shots at the beginning of the last minute, both landing shots at the inside, Hamazaryan doing slightly better there with some really nice and fast combinations. The first time for a couple of rounds you have the impression Mattice still has some will to win it. Aggressive approach by both fighters now, looks like a war from time to time, Hamazaryan looking a bit sloppy now throwing wild shots from the distance being a bit short. Hamazaryan finishing strong having Mattice at the ropes. Hamazaryan raising his hands, he clearly won the fight, Mattice looking really disappointed.

79-73 Zhora Hamazaryan

Pawel Wolak - Delvin Rodriguez

1: 10:9 (Higher workrate, more landed)
2: 9:10 (Good counter punches from Rodriguez)
3: 9:10 (Better, cleaner work by Rodriguez)
4: 10:9 (Wolak landed more, but Rodriguez had his moments)
5: 10:9 (Rodriguez workrate dropped. Wolak just outworks him)
6: 10:9 (Rodriguez took a beating this round)
7: 10:9 (Wolak starts to look like my former math-teacher with that swelling, but he still wins the rounds)
8: 10:9 (Closer, but still Wolak)
9: 9:10 (Rodriguez wakes up and wins a clear round.)
10: 9:10 (Better finish from Rodriguez)

96-94 Wolak

I never saw this fight before. But if i remember it right, a lot of people were screaming robbery and thought, Rodriguez won. But i cant see this. The Draw is fine, but Rodriguez did never win 6 rounds.

I've never seen someone who knows how to score a fight have it that wide for Leonard.

Leonard won the first four rounds. I think you should give Hagler round 7.

Rounds 9 or 10 could have went either way. Volume punching for Hagler, or accuracy for Leonard?

Here's a good article on the punch stats.

https://www.*******.com/sugar-ray-leonard-vs-marvin-hagler-compubox-looks-back--115357

I have it 7-4-1 for Leonard or 7-5 for Leonard.

Looking back Halger below it by starting slow, letting Leonard steal rounds late

What a ****ing shock. You don't know how to score either. You're the most annoying human being I've ever encountered on the internet.

I don't care what you think, your opinions, they're completely irrelevant to me.
