Then you should probably let a doc look for your nose or improving your defense. Definitely not normal. Or do you guys spar with MMA gloves?
16oz. I know for a fact many fighters are prone to nosebleeds. Do they all just get their fights stopped lol?
How many fighters do you see who REGULARLY — like almost every fight — get their noses busted open? And you say it happens to you all the time in sparring. Have no idea about any trend to stop amateur fights on nosebleeds, but you do need to protect yourself better if this is a regular occurance.
They actually will stop the fight if your nose is gushing in amateur boxing. I had a fight where my nose was gushing and the round was stopped for "medical treatment"
Not the fight, finished the fight but they did stop the round for a second to make sure it was good to go
I know all to well about this!! Like @Daanish Khorasani I get nose bleeds all the ****ing time. My first fight was stopped coz of a bloody nose even though I am positive I would have been well ahead point wise. I've got video and no one can convince me otherwise!! Improving defense definitely helps. Though at some point everyone gets hit! but my nose is so no cut out for boxing that at times I would give myself a bloody nose from my own gloves rubbing over my nose on punches that I had blocked. Thankfully being that boxing isn't huge in rural Australia.. after a few fights the refs would get to know me and that I was a bleeder and would give me a bit more leeway and would just stop the fight momentarily to get my nose wiped and let me carry on. Just like how all chins aren't made equally in boxing all noses aren't either
I had mine done 3 times. It definitely helped but still didn't completely solve the problem. On the odd occasion when it's hot or whatever I'll still get the old nose bleed. It's pretty ****!
It depends on how the fight is going from what I have seen. If the guy has a nosebleed and he is getting owned they might stop it. The same with broken noses. If your nose is bleeding lay off the spareing for a while and let that **** heal.
