Yarde is in the most horrible division right now I don't even think he'd beat the current Kovalev yet. Kind of feel for him

Yarde will have at least 25 fights before he goes for world honours

I think Yarde is going to end up with a record similar to Wilder’s.

He bores me now along with Dubois both Fwanks golden boys but doing nothing to make big waves. If they were that good then put them in decent fights and let’s see what the hype is rather than drag this on for years.

To be fair, Dubois still a teenager or just 20 isn’t he? The only thing they’ve said I’m opposed to is that he could knock Joshua out now at one point. Other than that he is what he says on the tin. A prospect. Kevin Johnson is a decent level opponent for him, then hopefully we get the Gorman fight in the next 12 months (I don’t see it because Gorman will stop the hype train). Dubois can get better, can go a long way and he’s not ranked by any organisation to my knowledge.

Yarde however! They use his #1 ranking to avoid British level clashes and say he’s above them but turns down title fights and to my knowledge hasn’t beat a top 40 ranked fighter?

his biggest win was a KO over a guy who drew for the EBU in his previous bout. So its probably fair to say hes around that level but he really needs at least one big domestic fight, hes got a high undeserved ranking and is an unknown

Was listening to the Fight Disciples podcast the other day, and from what they’d apparently been hearing, George’s shoulder is not 100% right. If that is true and he can’t throw out that sharp shooting jab of his, then he’s in for a very tough night. Credit to Groves for going ahead with the fight but imo he should have let Eubank have his place and rehabilitated that shoulder to its best.

Regarding fighting Yarde, they would stop him with ease. He would be woefully out of his depth. You can’t just jump from fighting puddings who couldn’t punch my mums ornaments off the fireplace to world class opponents.

Hearn really is making Frank's protection Yarde look foolish offering him Callum Johnson, Buatsi and Burton.

I think Warren supects this and, in a nutshell, is why Warren appears to taking his time with Yarde, moving him along very slowly indeed. Along with the above, I don't even think Yarde's power is anything special, not will it be anywhere near as previously pronounced if he progresses to European / fringe World, and onto true World level against actual Light Heavyweights.

That won't bode well for him moving forward.

Ye but why is Frank protecting yards so much. What is it yards brings to the table?
Apparently he's not a ticket seller, so he's not protecting an income. I've heard yards has a good following on S.Media but I can't confirm this.
Apart from been in that maximuscle advert that used to run on the adverts between rounds on sky, I don't see what it is Frank's protecting.. surely Frank isn't that small minded that hes buzzing because yarde is on the maximuscle advert.

At the moment, absolutely nothing -- which is why Frank Warren would likely have to offer someone like Erik Skoglund way more money than he would realistically want to pay in order to get him to fight Anthony Yarde in the U.K. As you say, Yarde isn't a big ticket seller and so fighting him is a low-reward proposition fiancially speaking. Until he proves otherwise against a Callum Johnson or a Frank Buglioni and not against a Richard Baranyi or a Nicolai Szekloca, It's all hype, hearsay and speculation when it comes to Anthony Yarde.

Pretty much everything in the above can be applied to stablemate Daniel Dubois, who has been on a similarly slow trajectory as Anthony Yarde. I suspect Warren is protecting Dubois from Nathan Gorman who, in my opinion, is a far better prospect than Dubois and would utterly ruin Dubois if they ever fought.

    Yarde would eat Kovalev alive.

Not being an after timer but I'd have had money on Yarde to beat Kovalev before his defeat to Alvarez. I seen that defeat coming. The most overrated fighter this past decade. I was always amazed when many people had him #1 p4p before the Ward fights
