It's only a matter of time with him. You can tell it's not like he's been in therapy for the last two years and sorted his head out. He's just in one of his more "lucid" periods. Sooner or later he's going back off the rails. It's inevitable.
True, unless he gets some proper help and counselling it's inevitable. He is who he is, he like his name sake Mike Tyson is a flawed human being with a lot of personal demons. He did well to keep it together for as long as he did to beat Wlad and has done well to again get himself back into contention but he's a ticking time bomb.
I don't see this as off the rails. In marketing terms, he's 'on brand' as he pushes himself as the authentic, unfiltered opposite to AJs carefully constructed 'product' image. Fury is never going to be capable of that and shouldn't try. As long as he steers clear of the truly toxic aspects that damaged him last time he can afford idiotic posts like that. Indeed they may serve to divert attention from pesky subjects like PED use etc.
He just needs to get over the line with Fury, make the Joshua fight, fight the fight, then live the life he was born for rather than the life he's chosen. Of course, if he loses to Wilder, part II is binned anyway.
At least Hatton waited until it was all done. And to be fair, all Hatton has done is what most others would do. Put on a bit of weight and go on multiple benders.
The whole reason he signed to fight Wilder so soon after the two tune up fights was because Warren and Co know they cant trust him to stay clean for longer than another few months He still has an itch and it will be scratched.
I'd just do a Scuba and take the dough. After a couple of Nichols style check-jabs albeit (in case Wilder's chin goes pop)
Rushing into the Wilder fight in his first year back was a stupid idea. Especially when the driving force behind the decision was to get one over on Hearn and Joshua. Now the boxing world is putting immense pressure on him to go through with it when he should still be taking more tune-up fights.
Unsure if I buy this depression/demons thing with Fury. Talking about having depression seems to be the cool thing these days. I see countless "don't be afraid to talk" type posts from those types who are just desperate for easy 'likes'. Makes me as sick as those hundreds of thousands of people showing how they idolise the rich by retweeting a fake Warren Buffet Twitter account tweeting out bland aphorisms such as "always hold the door for others", "be polite", "be the best you can be". Fooking sheep.
LOL This is presciuos! Now haters can add mentally challenged mongaloid to the list of bums Wilder has beat!
Haters can already do that, or how would you categorize Zelenoff? I don't consider myself a hater though but I do wish Wilder would fight a good healthy boxer once in a while it doesn't even have to be Joshua, it can be Parker, Whyte, Povetkin, Miller, hell I'll even be satisfied with Breazeale that's how desperate I am
