Prime for Prime... 15 rounds. Who's gonna takes this... based on styles and athletic ability. Please to note a fight in which the above were actually demonstrated.

    Who ya got?

    In Equality world:

Until hitting prime, Carnera lost to (excluding fixed fights):

Franz Diener, Young Stribling, Jim Maloney, Sharkey, Gains and Poreda.
Lost to 5 random fighters until prime.
Beat Schaaf, Uzcudun, Loughran and Sharkey.

Dokes drew with Ocasio and Weaver, then lost one time to Coetzee.
    Lost one time until prime.
Beat Young, Ocasio, Cobb 2x and Weaver.

    1 : 0 Dokes.

    In the real world:

Carnera gave away (- 80) pounds. Fought in a loose CW-era where black men were choked. Oafed his wins with size alone + mob.

Dokes gave away 0 pounds. Fought in a tight professional 215lb HW-era were black men were free. Looked impressively quick on film.

    2 : 0 Dokes.

Personal conclusion: Dokes finds the clumsy trees defenseless fidgetting mandible --> TKO after three time chopping.

Gonna go against the grain and pick Carnera in a Dokes/Holyfield war

Unpopular opinion, but if Dokes can get knocked out in 1 round by Bowe then he won't go 15 against Carnera. Carnera is the more athletic of the two, considering his strength, conditioning and flexibility, compared to the fat Dokes. Both lost to better competition, but Carnera's loses were both less humiliating (with the exception of the Holyfield fight), and against better comp

Best for best, Dokes in his early 80s prime should be able to have his way with Carnera pretty easily. Too fast, too skilled.

The original post specified "prime for prime" though. The washed-up version of Dokes who got into the ring with Riddick Bowe in '93 was arguably almost a (very hard) decade past his prime.

Picking fat Dokes post 90s as a argument of anything. What about picking 30 years old Carnera who lost three times in a row, two times by TKO vs Haynes, the third one to a 14-8 Italian?
This board is a endless universe....

Dokes was a busy fighter with dazzling handspeed. He wasn't too durable but then, Primo wasn't that fast. I think probably Dokes on points with a chance of Carnera landing something decent and then pummelling him.
