Why was Holmes circling to the right so much against Shavers?

Holmes shouldn`t have been tagged by a slow puncher like Shavers, was his movement lousy in that fight? Do you think Shavers could have landed a right hand on a prime Ali like he did vs Holmes?

At fight night, I was thinking to myself "he's carrying his left a bit low as usual, dangerous against Earnie"

You circle to the right to move away from the other guy's right hand.

Sheeeeeeit man. Earnie almost took Ali's head off with right hands in 77. No other fighter in history takes the REPEATED pure power rights SHAVERS landedthat night and survives. He really beat the **** oout of Ali that night and was robbed.

Yes but he stipulated prime Ali. Earnie wouldn't be hitting that.
