He was out on his feet v Ortiz the bell saved him then the corrupt officials gave him an extra 30 seconds. Did you forget Wilder was put on his backside by Nichols and Sconiers?

 

Its not as bad as a lot of people make out. Its not about getting dropped or wobbled, thats guna happen, you are going to get hit at some point, its how you recover. And to be fair to Wilder he got his minute in the corner plus a bit extra from the ref and half of the next round and he was good to go again. Unfortunatly Ortiz virtually killed himself trying to seal the deal and was just a zombie waiting to be finished after that.

But to call it Iron is a bit far, very far actually. It is below average.

 

Chins do not matter in boxing, because it was never about knockouts.
The one with the best and most defensive moves wins. Sweet science = don't hit and don't get hit.

When you punch upwards to the extent that Ortiz was, there is no doubt that his power wasn't quite on the level that it normally would be.

You can't deny that. Try it yourself. Punching upwards doesn't generate the same level of power, even with improved technique. That is why Joshua will beat Wilder, he isn't going to be punching upwards, he'll be punching straight.
