It was a very enjoyable “free card” on sky sports but it’s clear to see that Khan is completely done at the highest level. I now have my doubts that he goes through with the Brook fight. Langford vs Wellborn was also a very evenly matched and entertaining fight. I was pleased to see Wellborn get the decision.
What a fight it was Twenty...i must admit i definitely got some respect for Martin again...such a shame he didn't show that heart and courage in the Joshua fight. The last round was amazing...the whole fight was great. Where does Kownacki go from here, Martin also...
Called Spud O'Connor on this thread following the Matchroom script after the punch to the back of the head. The man is a disgrace week after week and after the Fury v McDermott fight, he should have never been back in a boxing ring. The Sky and Boxnation commentary bias over the past year has been awful as are comments such as 'Khan v Brook is the fight we ALL we to see' when that comment is garbage. The two over the hill jaded fighters is the 'fight Eh Day want us to pay £19.99 to see'. To be fair to Khan, the Le Greco fight should be ignored and he needed this type of fight if he is serious about a comeback. He needs another 2-3 hard fights before he fights any top fighter but the glass chin will always be his downfall in the end. Off to watch the Martin fight on your recommendation
As a Scotsman living in England i loved seeing loads of St Georges flag out during the World Cup as it annoys me England is the only country in the world were the people of their country feel uncomfortable showing of their national flag.
Is it any wonder, especially after the bloke that got arrested in London a few weeks ago for wearing a make Britain great again hat.
I remember going to watch Scott Harrison back in the day and Amir Khan was on his undercard at the Braehead Arena and there was trouble with his fans in the arena. There must have been a thousand or so of them, they were mainly sat on the floor area and they were all waving the Pakistani flag, chanting in Pakistani and they decided to 1 minute into the main event to stand up and chat away blocking everyones view and before you know it there was mass fights with Scott Harrison fans. The riot police needed to come and escort them to safety. Fun times lol.
As the great Bill Miller said once you stop learning its game over, you have to try new things and evolve as a fighter the learning process should never stop. What he said is the right attitude to have but you also have to know when its time to stop.
But the thing is he is referring to errors which he will never correct because he hasn't got the brains !
They know. But they’ve been brainwashed by the media and the PC brigade that it’s the only way, otherwise you are scum.
O’connor is horrendous , there’s been too many to remember but the main ones for me are Cardle v Dodd 1 and I just don’t know how he sleeps after Groves v Gutknecht.
