    Having an Olympic gold does make it easier to transition to American TV. HBO, ESPN, etc. love to introduce a new fighter who comes with a Gold.

    The potential financial damages are impossible to calculate, however.

    I wasn't thinking about the gold medal fight. His second biggest professional fight was against Jacobs and I though he was given a generous decision there.

    But yeah, he got screwed against Canelo.

    But the promoters were also well aware of him because of what he did in the amateurs anyway.It was also common knowledge in boxing circles that he should have won. The guy that got gold didn't get anything from it afterwards. It sucks for Golovkin, but in practical terms I really don't see how this would have mattered. It's a good talking point but I think that's it.

    Just watched the GGG v Jacobs and it was close but that knock down made all the difference in my eyes. I agreed with the judge who had it 114-113 for GGG

    if you score all close rounds to Jacobs i can see a 114-114 Draw but realistically Golovkin won close
