Fair opinion, but there are glaring exceptions to that rule like Louis, Marciano, Dempsey and Patterson.

Willard had an Iron Jaw and amazing will. Did you hear about what Dempsey did to him? Broken jaw, teeth missing, hearing loss. Willard had never been knocked down in his career before that, even after 20 rounds of punishment with Jack Johnson.

Yes Dempsey hits harder than Lennox Lewis, not only that, but he was faster, more vicious, and had a better chin

So I ask you again: Do you see Lennox Lewis, swinging at full force at a defenseless Willard, standing over him when he is barely standing up, for SEVEN ATTEMPTS and dozens and dozens of punches (Dempsey getting arm weary) WITHOUT KEEPING WILLARD DOWN?

Are you seriously thinking Lewis would punch himself out for an entire round on a defensless stooped men, standing right over him, to knock that man out?

 

I don't see Lewis knocking Willard down in the first round to begin with?

 

Trying to make a point about what? Willard had an underrated chin, Lewis had great but overrated power. In combination with the fact that he isnt as fast or ferocious as Dempsey, he wouldn't knock Willard down in the first round.

I see Lewis vs Willard as probably a one sided slaughter with Lewis putting him away after a huge combination in 3-5 rounds

 

I'm a big Dempsey fan, and no, he doesn't hit as hard as Lennox Lewis. Despite fighting cautiously, Lewis is near the top in terms of most powerful punchers in history.

 

I wasn't sure at first either..but I'm thinking its pure delusion and I wouldn't waste time with that guy lol

Louis wasn't in the 180's, he was around 200-205 at his best. A genuine 200 pounder or more.

 

Prime Tyson’s way too polished and mean for Tua. Tyson would slip and absorb Tua’s bombs and then it’s over from there (probably second round max). Any version of Tyson until 2002. I think Tua could win if he fights Tyson 2002 onward.
