Canelo will get credit for it, but, you have to consider the nature of the win. Most of the public had canelo losing both fights. I had him losing both. Last night I was screaming that canelo was going to stop ggg to the body! Then ggg man turned around and landed heavy shots consistent strong Jab and slipped many shots. Canelo is a tough tough dude. He’s definitely ATG status. But to best GGG he needed some judging help and Father Time to do his part
When did I ever say he was running? Canelo fought an excellent fight in their first encounter but he wasn't active enough.
yes he is suddenly old at the precise moment of his first ever loss/first ever elite opponent, very good.
In ways I enjoyed the first fight more. Leading up to the fight, we all knew Canelo often gets backed up even against smaller opponents. Against GGG that was seen as a sure way to get knocked out. But he spent 12 rounds up against ropes, taking some good shots but displaying his good defensive skills and counters.
I don't like Ward. I know GGG can box, anyone with a silver medal can box. Boxing was the wrong decision for this fight. I've already stated why I think he lost. Again the GGG that beat Brook or earlier wouldn't have been intimidated.
The troll has been beating the same stick since this morning.....a great fight and night of boxing and all the parasite can do is want to troll the forum.
But Canelo brings a totally different aspect to the fight than Brook and Golovkin knew this. I thought GGG won clearly both fights in 2 close competitive fights and I agree 3 years ago he'd of fought different but age has caught up with him, I've been saying this for 2 years now he's declining but still elite.
It is a shame that , when given the chance to prove he was definitely elite, 3G wasnt able to prove it.
I think GGG won the last one Canelo won this one. GGG looked old. He didn't let hard punches go enough.too many punches were just probing. Canelo won because his work was more clean, eye catching and flashy. GGGs facial damage reflected this. GGG is DONE. I feel bad for him, he didn't get the right fights to show how good he was in his prime but it's over. Sanchez says GGG didn't follow the game plan and I believe him, I think he's lost the will to fight(in part because he feels he has been screwed and somewhat rightfully so)
