I would like to watch ba third fight too.

But I'm fine with it not happening. I want to see Canelo and GGG fight the other top MWs already.

Good assessment. Once everything between each side cools down and these fighters go on to do what they are going to with their careers I could easily see this rivalry as a boost to each fighters legacy regardless of the outcome.

Bit of a shame GGG didn't get the decision in the first fight.

He deserved his moment standing on top of the world looking down as undisputed champ (officially).

I'd like to see a third fight as well but it will be tougher for him to win than the previous two.

If he were to win, it would probably mean there would be a fourth.

I can see these fights being a boost to Billy Joes legacy. Even Jermall and Jarrett Hurd's.

I always said Canelo is a dead man post GGG and these fights haven't changed my opinion.

Beating Canelo now might seem like something big but he is only as good as his next fight and god damn I hope it's Billy Joe.

TBH GGG can't KO Canelo and he's not going to win on points so it's a fruitless venture. The fights are good but the fights just lend to leave a bad taste afterwards. I think they should go separate ways now and fight the rest of the pack.

I know GGGs aging so if he wants to go again then are best of doing it next but if they were to pick up some good wins in the next couple of years then the rematch could be made into a bigger one than it is I guess and a bit time might cool people's view on the corruption and see it in a better light going into another.

It's starting to look like the Marquez-Pacquaio rivalry where the results are constantly controversial and you have one guy chasing the fight looking for redemption only to be constantly left on the short side.

Only thing is they are different fighters and I don't see GGG finding that mix of perfect circumstances that see him get a happy ending.

Things are gonna get very interesting in 160 pounds. You have:

Danny Jacobs vs Sergiy Derevyanchenko for the IBF belt.
Billy Joe Saunders vs Demetrius Andrade for the WBO belt.
Ryota Murata vs Rob Brant for the WBA ''Regular'' belt.

You also have guys like David Lemieux and Jermall Charlo rooming the division for a title shot.

On a side note. I think there is a gonna good chance Canelo will vacate the WBC belt instead of facing Charlo. :chuck:

Even thought you might be okay with it. I'm not in the least, I'm ****ing enraged.

You scored both fights for GGG, as did I, along with the majority of credible judges across the boxing media.. But the mere fact that across 2 fights, with 24 rounds in total, the UNDEFEATED Middleweight Champion of the world, who was on the verge of breaking B-Hop's record, managed to win on only ONE scorecard in total. Reeks of unmitigated bull****, and this decision angered me far more than the first. GGG was criticized as a come forward plodder, so, he stood in the middle of the ring and beat Canelo at his own game and performed in a Canelo-esque style far more impressively than Canelo himself, and he still gets ****ed. Personally I thought Golovkin was more impressive and won more convincingly this time around, even though some of the rounds were more competitive.

I have no desire to see them do it again, Canelo will win, its pointless. Saunders should avoid him, as should the rest of the Middleweight division, De La Hoya and Golden Boy are the scum of the earth, and no one will ever get a fair shake against them or their Cash Cow. Case in point, Canelo should have entered the ring last night 45-4-2 not 49-1-2. They should be completely shut out and boycotted, and on top of that Hopkins has been a despicable piece of **** for the last few weeks.

To be fair, I think you mean decades not weeks.

Let's put it this way, for this one he found the 11 on the dial.

Saved me a bunch of typing.

It's disheartening to watch boxing when we get this sort of BS all the time.

Even factoring out the oh-so-obvious corruption factor, the excuse of "the judges had an off night" doesn't wash with me. There should be some sort of official 12-member review board after a verdict to ensure that yes, the correct man did win. Judges that get it wrong too often can be blacklisted.

At this point Canelo is effectively unbeatable on the cards. Doesn't matter if you outland him, land the better shots, are the aggressor, are the defender, whatever. He's got a teflon shield that slides every decision his way.

Like Teddy Atlas said, it doesn't matter if the fight was competitive or not or if Golovkin didn't live up to expectations. If he won the fight he won the fight!!

Both fights got scored on being surprised on how well Canelo could hang with GGG. But getting credit for a good effort should not mean he actually won. I also think GGG underperformed a little, maybe due to age or styles or whatever, but he still won both times! It's just monumentally unfair to only get one scorecard out of six. In 24 rounds he outlanded him in 20. Statistics show that the guy that outlands the other wins the round 90% of the time (that includes rounds that got turned around by a knockdown, not that rare actually). This equal to being struck by lightning every damn year. unbelievable!

Unfortunately I have to admit that GGG, like Kovalev, got hustled, walked right into a trap.

What made the two of them so susceptible was not just naive understanding of 'diverse murrica', but also their overconfidence in being able to KO their opponents. They thought they could go in with such disadvantages and still overcome them just by stopping the opponent. But the problem was that both Ward and Canelo are perfect for a corrupt system because they are extremely good defensively and in the case of Canelo, his chin is apparently impressive too.

GGG should fire Loeffler and Sanchez. Both snakes know exactly how this game works and didn't protect him either time. Sanchez of course literally hung him out to dry and has been gushing over Canelo post fight in an outlandish display. The guy is so proud and happy right now, you wouldn't think his champion fighter just got robbed and lost all his belts, would you? You'd almost think his guy just won.
