I agree completely about the first fight, GGG was very harshly treated, he was always on the front foot and was definitely the aggressor. I think Canelo was countering very well in this fight though, always taking a forward step after the exchanges to make him look like the aggressor, which is eye-catching for the judges and pretty smart boxing, it highlights how much GGG was badly judged in the first fight.
Then why did Horn and Bradley 'rob' Pac? And how did Canelo almost 'rob' Mayweather? And how did Ward 'rob' Kovalev twice?
GGG clearly took more punishment, GGG only threw 1 out 5 punches with conviction.canelo was happy to let GGGs pawing and probing punches bounce off of him while his return fire was explosive and sharp. GGG threw a bunch of probing straight right hands that had less mustard on them than his jab...wtf was that? GGG out landed Canelo in jabs but Canelo outlander him with power punches and his power punches were punches that actually had power on them, GGG didn't sit down on his punches until round 9 and then it became give and take. GGG still hasn't managed a body attack on Canelo and his head punches were probing....both of these things are because GGG was intimidated by Canelos speed and counters, otherwise he would have tried to blast him out like he did brook
I don't think the judges are thinking about money to be made when they score a fight. No way. If anything it is popularity and the crowd cheering. Very simple.
I am not into conspiracy theories. If someone is going to say that happens then have proof. Otherwise what is the point? Just to make people say wow. The judges are respectable judges. They are not going to change the outcome of a decision because they are in Vegas or any different city. Wasn't Lennox vs. Holyfield one in New York and not Vegas?
Read Oscar's open letter. He practically admits GGG didn't get the nod the first time because he doesn't bring in enough money to Vegas.
I like proof for things otherwise people make big claims without evidence. The issue is too big for that.
Apart from the fact its a golden Boy promotion you have to have a nagging doubt when Oscars pal Bob Bennet has influence... the guys a sneaky slimeball $$$$$ talks
Paulie's an exceptional voice of boxing (except when it comes to Pacquiao where he becomes a complete moron).
The judging of the first fight was a total farce, no doubt about it. That's the irony, the thing that won Canelo the second fight was totally overlooked in the first fight
