How much does he owe in tax?
If Floyd spends 100 million a year he will blow through his net wort very quickly

 

Rumor has it that he lost $50 million gambling last year. Anybody can go broke

 

If he is such a genious, why can't he make money by promoting other fighters through Mayweather Promotions rather than coming back on his own, surely promoters tend to make more money than the fighters?

 

The only problem I have with the story is it was leaked just after the Mayweather v Pacquiao story come out. Seems all too convinient.

 

He promotes his own fights as well as his own fighters so he keeps all the money. Where give the money to another promoter. This is why he makes more money than other fighters and promoters. He also has his own brand TMT. He is clearly guiding his brand and businesses in Asia. Which better opponent to use than Pacquiao who is from that Continent. I think it’s bull that he lost $50 Million gambling rather he sees the opportunity to make another 9 figure payday hence easy money especially since Pacquiao had a good win over Matthyse.

Money, limelight, and it's all he's known. Guy's a generational talent who gives full dedication to it. I look forward to his return to not one, but two fights.

Promoters make little. Most elite boxers are overpaid and majority of a promotions revenue goes to the fighters.
A big time promoter will have some good money, but it's a hard business.
