    I'd add Monzón, possibly Hopkins.

All five of them would have different ways of neutralizing Golovkin's power on the inside.

Tiger and Griffith could hang, at least for a while.

Oh sure I agree with that! Of course Golovkin's power has been grossly overrated all long. But the same applies to many other boxer with a lot of knockouts like Wilder, Joshua, Sergey Kovalev and etc. All those guys, also have 'overrated' power since many of their own fans have claimed similar things, but in reality, their power has also been exposed against opponents that have managed to take their punches without being KO'ed / knocked down.

Punching power in general, is quite possibly one of, if not the most overrated attribute in boxing.

Well I don't know, Hagler and GGG would be interesting... for me GGG has got top 5 chin in boxing history, , Canelo is a 8/10 puncher, Jacobs is 8.5, Stevens is 9, Lemieux 9.5/10... these guys hit him with their best shots and GGG was not wobbled or hurt once in his career, I still don't understand how he is able to take these shots without even backing up for more than 0.5 seconds.

Its thread like this that makes me laugh at the GGG fan boys who really thought this guy was an ATG, one of the biggest punchers of all time. He hits hard no doubt but he aint knocking out HWs unless its a journeyman or a novice, he never once even staggered Canelo.

Lool are you basing it on the MW of today (in regards to your scoring of punching power) and one thing that is true about GGG is he has a solid chin, definitely unable to call it the top 5 in history because he hasnt been in with any ATG punchers so we cant tell but definitely one of the best chin of the last 10-15 years.

Well yeah I am, it's hard to compare the MWs of today and of old in any aspect, athletes evolve, boxers have more power nowadays, more stamina, more muscle, they are better tactically and technically, the only thing that doesn't evolve is talent someone is born with, you are either born with it or you aren't.
Back in the day there was more supremely talented boxers than we have now.

3g can knock out cws and hws, np, you will all see when he moves up, and you would see the truth of it if you watched him sparring.

it is LMWs that trouble him, not cws/hws

No way do boxers have better power nowadays, we have yet to see prolific punchers like G-man, Mugabi, julian Jackson etc. The fighters of the past are way better fighters than now, hence why there are rarely any new universally accepted ATGs.

You are correct that it is hard to compare coz the fighters of the past actually mixed up more often, they fought more often too and there werent as much belts floating around so less fake champs.

All the training techniques, tactical advancements, technical advancements, the benefit of internet and ease of communication between specialists, the diets, doctors, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, sports psychologists, the knowledge of humans body that has evolved, the kinetics of human movement... all these things were ignored in the 40s,50s,60s,70s,80s and even 90s, all of these little details accumulate to 15-20% increase in performance, you think that fighters of the past are better, it's simply because back in the day only the top 4-5 guys had good teams behind them and the rest had people who didn't have a clue about the physical side of things, nowadays every top 30 boxers has a whole team of sport scientists, trainers, strenght and conditioning coahces etc, if I was to put my house on Hagler vs Golovkin, I'd put it on Golovkin without hesitation, Athletes evolve in every sport and it's the same with boxing, it's like people saying Maradona is the best of all time, no way he is, if you placed Messi 30 years back in time he would score 3 goals every match, it's the same in boxing. If Hagler was born in the same year as Golovkin and they were to square up, I'd favor Hagler heavily with all the benfits of todays medicine and knowledge but if Golovkin in his prime vs Hagler (70s-80s) in his prime were to square up, I'd favor Golovkin easily.

Although James Toney has been knocked down before, he also ballooned up to heavyweight completely out of shape taking bombs from much bigger punchers than Lemieux. His frame is not that of someone that should be fighting in heavyweights, and most certainly no one would expect someone to take the shots he has been able to take after the insane amount of years he has been boxing. So no, Lemieux is not a 9.5 power puncher when compared to what others have done in the past. He (GGG) has an amazing chin, but others have feats that are far more impressive when it comes to chin. Until GGG has feats on that kind of level, you cannot put him in the same discussion for the top 5 chins of all time. This is the exact overrating crap that has turned so many people off from GGG.

And no, the sparring stories don't mean a damn thing.
