When you consider Audley (a fighter not known for coping well with diversity) fought to the last round with a terrible injury in the second fight against Sprott you realise how spinless Price was.
To think supposed experienced and knowledgeable posters where backing Price to win and praising him for his Povetkin performance. The same ones who were backing Povetkin to beat Joshua. Price was done since the first Thompson fight and people who knew him from amateurs know he can't take a punch. Turn your back on a fighter and you probably don't belong on a ring.
He couldn't wait to quit, absolutely pathetic. Yesterday afternoon I was praising him for having the guts to keep fighting and then he quits with a sore arm.
I'm not talking about who is the better fighter, but who has the bigger heart. Your reading comprehension skills are pretty shocking!
You are so thick Froggie Unless I have Audley mixed up with Marvin Hagler, Audley was frightened to death even against all those puddings hardly throwing a punch. Audley had so much heart that he set records for the quickest defeats in boxing and low punch output - sure he never even stretched his arm against Toe. His legacy was simple - the biggest coward in Heavyweight Professional Boxing
The fight was so disappointing...i was so far away from the ring i didnt have a fcuking clue what was going on, then i hear he quit because on an 'injured' arm. So disappointed with Price. Has there been anymore talk on what happened to his arm?
You're not wrong, Audley Harrison is the most gutless embarrassment I've seen in 30 years of watching boxing.
In round 4 Price was gasping as soon as he threw a jab. I've never seen anything like it in boxing or really any sport at this level - he just seems incredibly unfit. The bicep injury is nonsense - he was completely gassed. I hope his plumbing business specialises in bungalows cos he couldn't carry a wrench up a flight of stairs.
Lol you are ridiculously dense as you have proven my point! I said that against Sprott he fought on to the bitter end despite a terrible injury, and all of this coming from someone not known for their heart. I’m assuming that English isn’t your first language as your grasp of it is so poor, but you’re really embarrassing yourself with your inability to grasp basic points!
Yet you fail to identify the numerous examples where he showed ZERO heart. Hop along to school now Froggie
It was blatantly obvious after the Thompson debacle that Price should've never turned professional. He's got very good ability and power, but can't take a shot and has the worst stamina I've ever seen. Get Price past five or six rounds and you're guaranteed a win. That's not professional boxing. It's sad. He's only signed now for sensational KO losses. As likeable and honest as he is, I hope he retires before his next brutal KO. He's not like Amir Khan in that the KO losses are enjoyable.
