GGG declined when he fought better competition hmm funny that isn't it?

Canelo sure didn't look like a broken man after the fight he was out celebrating, taking interviews the next day not sulking in his locker room.

He's already medically cleared to fight, and his face didn't look too badly beat up (less than GGG despite Canelo targetting the body a lot)

lol Canelo wants to fight in December unlike GGG who told his promoter he won't be fighting until 2019. GGG has to nurse his injuries, but Canelo's already cleared. But be careful talking about facial damage around here, apparently talking about facial damage after a fight means your a casual lol.

exactly.. I remember how the Hearns/Hagler fight took a lot out of both. And that was a 3 round fight but a unique fight in that both put their all into it emotionally and got hit clean and hurt. Neither guy ever was the same. It happens. I am not sure why. Hagler toook off a year and looked rusty with Mugabi and then took another year off for Ray and was rusty there. He would have done better with Ray staying active since Hearns. But Ray probably sensed Marvin was not as motivated. Maybe when you get to that level and then have to fight later on , your mind says no.

Serge = 6 x Winner of The Most Red-blooded Heterosexual Male award

Yeah I don't have any desire to see him taking anymore punishment or to lose again to another one of these punks who hid in the darkest corner of the chicken coop when he was in his prime patiently biding their time waiting for him to decline.

I’d agree they took a great deal out of each other. Canelo took more punishment but he’s much younger. How much damage was done to them is impossible to say at this point. Maybe their own bodies don’t even know yet, and won’t until they get into another war with someone.

I'm a big GGG fan and thought he was robbed without a doubt in both fights but, no, I don't think Canelo will be impacted or damaged from the fights.

Canelo took more punishment from jabs than GGG took from body shots and power punches? GGG's face was visibly far more damaged than Canelo's.

The great majority of those at ringside for his last two fight have him with three losses already.
