FYI, some of the OTC "testosterone booster" pro-hormones are much stronger than any prescription (therefore underground when not available on prescription) PED's.

I'm a bit out of the loop as I don't gym it anymore but it was entirely possible for someone to go to a small town "supplement shop" and buy a bottle of pills that was many times more potent than anything a doctor could describe, as hundreds of lads who ended up with gyno-tits, no hair and testicular atrophy at 21 can testify.

The phrase 'testosterone booster prohormones' is an oxymoron. Prohormoes will decrease natural testosterone (through the negative feedback loop) and instead interact with enzymes in the body to convert into active anabolic/androgenic steroid, i.e. exgenous hormones that will negatively impact upon the HPTA. The only exception would be 4AD which coverts directly to testosterone (possibly DHEA too, but that isn't a one step conversion), but this still wouldn't be a boost to natural levels, it would merely replace them (and potentially increases them to supra-physiological levels).

I agree though, you can easily buy extremely potent steroids such as Superdrol and Methyl-1-testosterone OTC, which in terms of oral steroids are right up there with the most powerful and potentially dangerous re: side effects. Both are extremely toxic.

I’m sorry but I don’t buy it. And what a load of bollocks UKAD are. Makes me wonder about other fighters. You’re ok apparently unless you’re caught with it in your system on the day of the fight? Absolutely ridiculous, regardless of whether BJS is found guilty or innocent I’d suggest UKAD need to change that pathetic policy.

Like you can’t get colds throughout the year

Wasn’t it claimed Joshua had the flu in fight week?

I'm the first to agree that BJS can come across as a nob and hate the way he disrespects everyone around him, especially people more vulnerable than him (which is one of the worst qualities a man can have). But some of you are acting like old women gossiping over the fence and getting your knickers in a twist about nothing. At the end of the day the BBBC have given a statement, it's really not a big issue. It's hardly a performance enhancing steroid is it? Just chill. I did find Lemieux's tweet pretty funny, can you imagine his face when he heard the news? Instant jizzfest.

A failed test from someone in the Ingle gym? From a fighter who had real issues with stamina in the past and then suddenly turned up with a different body type?

    Surely not!?

Everyone knows there can be stimulants in nasal spray. Sorry not buying the excuse and neither will the WBO.

Lemieux is such a melt. Now he has his crutch to cope with. It's like Price trying to convince himself that he wouldn't have been knocked out by Teper and Thompson otherwise.

Surely something should either be legal or illegal. No grey areas, if it is in your system your banned simple as that.

I have spent a bit of time looking at this
VADA have no jurisdiction this would also mean that their testing methods would not be fully approved by the governing body of any sport .
This means that it is an irrelevant test that may not even be present in an official test
VADA have done themselves no favours as who is going to volunteer now it looks like there is a risk of a false reading

No, they don’t, but let’s not try and hold fighters up as some sort of role models. We pay to watch them punch other men in the face.

    Great!
I was waiting for some positive news about BJS after all the crap he pulled lately. And positive we got.

100% agree, was thinking the same mate. How was Tyson Fury banned over sniffing a few lines when he was not licensed let alot fighting ? Seems like their rules are all over the place and not consistant.

only it is, it helps with weight loss, helps with endurance, helps with focus. Its on the banned list for a reason.

If he is guilty throw the book at him, he is a pro athlete he is in a very pro set up at the ingle gym. He will know the importance of what goes into his body and have EVERY single thing double checked that goes into his body.

Its hardly shock horror, BJS starts to look in the best shape of his life all of a sudden, develops good levels of stamina that he struggled with prior in his career and then fails a drug test for a drug that helps you lose weight and improve endurance. Shockaroony !!

The fact he is horrible we so and so gave me a sly smile this morning.
