Good fight and we can see if Joyce can get rid of the football player much quicker than Windmill who was outboxed for several rounds.
I'm a big fan of Joyce and think he'd do a number on most of the heavyweights out there. I honestly think he'd stop the likes of Whyte and Chisora within 7/8 rounds. He's extremely heavy-handed and no-one can take that all night. It's just a case of his chin being decent enough, which I think it will be against everyone but the most powerful punchers. I wouldn't be surprised to see him much bigger fights within one or two fights. Chisora would be a great test - and one I'm confident he'd sail through with not all that much difficulty.
If I was a betting man I’d be happy to wager a cyber £1k on it, you on? Chisora win by KO against Joyce win by any means!
good step up for him but if he beats Washington he needs to move up to a kownacki /Charles martin/takam/chisora asap. times ticking.
That Kownacki is a serious fighter. Charles Martin hit him with some absolute bombs (and took loads of big ones in return) in their fight and still didn’t stop him walking forwards.
Kownacki has chin, would be perfect opponent for Joyce, that or Luis Ortiz. This fight here is more of a filler, really does nothing for Joyce.
Wonder what Ortiz has left after that Wilder defeat? I’d be very impressed if Joyce managed to line him up.
Martin would have beaten Kownacki had he not given away a massive lead early on in the fight. Not a huge fan of Kownacki myself, I would pick Joyce to beat him easily if they fought.
I agree, Kownacki is overrated and had the Martin fight been for 12 rounds I think he would of lost it as he was gassing at the end and I only had Kownacki up by a a point at the end of 10 rounds. I reckon Joyce makes easy work of Kownacki.
Look forward to it... Joyce vs Kuzmin - we should bear in mind in the pros it wouldn’t have been a KO...Joyce also looked a lot more slight and also seemed like a rabbit in the headlights...I think he’s improved a lot since then. That said he’s still wide open and slow so open for a counter when he fights someone with speed and power. Was he ever put down or hurt by anyone else? Edit: Another first round KO at the 2013 World Championships - https://www.insidethegames.biz/arti...-joyce-in-opening-bout-of-world-championships Seems he was vulnerable to a first round swarming...
Martin only started hitting him back in round 7. I can see an argument for 6-4 to Kownacki but 7-3 was probably how I had it. Good scrap.
