I think this is in response to Whyte saying Ortiz is pricing himself out of a fight. Whyte also said that about Chisora.
I believe Whyte, why would he lie... He did the deal with Chisora rematch right in front of the camera. And Chisora fell short after. Ortiz probably is pricing himself out and those words do not sound like Ortiz at all. Jarell Miller is same age as Whyte, and Wilder only a few years older... so it's just Ortiz that's elderly. And if it came down to it... Joshua/Whyte would beat Miller, Wilder and Ortiz. #Team UK all the way
It's a fun call out, but also pretty stupid. If Ortiz wants to fight Whyte he needs to be willing to come to the uk and put it on ppv, both would make far more money. Demanding it on the Wilder vs Fury undercard is ridiculous, Whyte is already a ppv headline fighter in his own right. The problem is Ortiz' handlers aren't going to let him fight on a Hearn card unless it's against Joshua, so the call out is pretty pointless.
The more their competitors mention both Joshua and Whyte, the better they look. Actions speak louder than words. No-one (less the most rabid Wilder supporters) is demanding anyone fight Ortiz because he's beat lesser opposition than those he's calling out, simple premise. Get and fight someone proper, in competitive fights, give the fans value and they will demand others fight you. The less active and risk taking HWs are barking at the moon with all this bs talk atm, it's transparent horse-sh1t.
Sheeeet, the guy has to do what Parker did, he laid the blueprint for a would-be top HW trying to prove themselves in 2018-2019. I've nothing but respect for Parker, he came to the UK, did his promo in good grace, repped his homeland well, put on 3 competitive fights against our top HWs and made a boat load of cash! What is stopping others from doing the same? Even an aging Pov came over and went out on his shield whilst giving our #1 a good go. Top boy. Ortiz should be more active and doing the same. Until he does, I'll not be putting any laurels on him.
