He got dropped by a big puncher, got back up before 10 seconds, cleared his head and walked his guy down and then stopped him while his back was to the ropes. That shows ring IQ, clarity of thinking and excellent finishing instincts.

BTW: How many times did Beterbiev get hit flush and go down? If it was the glass jaw you're claiming, he would have been asleep.

This. Beterbiev was never a threat for Ward. Beterbiev has been a pro since 2013 and only has 13 fights. Until he steps up the competition I can't see him as anything more than a hypejob. He's less active than Stevenson, who is 41 years old.

 

His opposition in his first 3 years was very solid.

He's been massively avoided and again Ward was intending on fighting if he got the ok to face Buglioni, yet when faced with Beterbiev as the mandatory he retired.

 

Just concentrate on your job search princess, wouldn't that be far more productive? You're really no good at this..

 

OP was a little harsh but Beterbiev isn't/wasn't a real threat to Ward. Not a thing I normally do to **** on a fighter right after a stumble but that's how it goes on here so I might as well get in on the act. Lots of work needed to say the least for Beterbiev including being more active.

Kovalev? He can't fight on the inside very well, Beterbiev would be a nightmare for him nowadays especially with his waining athleticism & mental state after 3 losses*..
