I have to see this video of Billy's horse being sht scared of him. I remember watching it when it came out but didn't really think anything of it at the time.
Atm Warrington isn't that well k own outside of Leeds but there is a film been released on Nov 1st, it's called fighting for a city. It's a film based round Josh and his life on his way to the top. The film co has followed him round for 3yrs and all aspects of his life are included. The film has been picked up by universal studios and it was made by the same co who did the film being A.P McCoy. I've seen some bits and bats of it, it looks a real quality production. If Josh comes through the fight with Carl, which I fully expect him to do, coupled with the release of this film, which has already been bought by Leeds film festival, it could do Warrington the world of good in exposing him to the wider audience. As I say, it has the backing of universal, it will be going out to the cinemas after the film fest, then services such as Netflix will put it out. Sorry for hijacking this thread but I thought this was a good opportunity to mention it.
Warrington has grafted his way to that world title. Totally dedicated working class lad done good. No nonsense from him outside of the gym. Sets an example BJS should follow. I like Frampton a lot, he’s an elite level fighter but i have to admit I would like Warrington to retain his title, or at least put in a performance that people want to see a rematch.
That's good to hear mate. A lot of people dislike Josh because of the Leeds element, I k ow that maybe he's brought a bit of that on by himself but he is a very hard working lad, who totally lives the life of a professional, he has grafted his way to the top, coming through the small halls. He does a lot of charity work in our area and he's the most down to earth person you could meet. He will give anyone the time of day, no matter who they are or what predicament they find themselves in struggling through life. This film will show the real Josh Warrington.
I can't have sympathy for him failing a drug test when he's hanging round with a boxer that has failed one before. There is always an excuse, it's always a drink or a spray. The way his body changes inbetween fights is ridiculous, the picture of him in Marbella a couple of years back where he looks like he's running at Heavyweight sums it up. He's one of the best boxers on the planet, but an absolute scum bag.
Right decision, to my mind. There is enough suspicion around that gym as it it is. Victor Conte had some interesting things to say about it which helped sway me a little. The whole thing could have been avoided if they declared the 'nasal spray' before using it. Does anyone know if any proof was offered beyond actually just saying this? I haven't heard anything to suggest they did.
I have zero sympathy for bjs on this one -- excellent boxer but his actions outside of the ring will ruin his career
Tell you what Hearn and Co are vicious when it comes to these little games, obviously Billy Joe Saunders was framed/set-up. Bet the Ingle gym gave up 1 or 2 bits of information. Why would Hearn make a fight knowing full well BJS winning benefits him & Frank Warren and would of put them in good stead on the negotiating table with Canelo. Keep in mind Canelo had 2 massive PPV events with Gennady Golovkin which generated hundreds of millions of dollars. I noticed Frank Warren has a lot of momentum going forward, making Eddie look very basic. What I mean by that is look at all the possible PPV events Warren can make in the UK & America, quite a lot - that's what Eddie wants badly, that US PPV money.
I've seen plenty of posts attacking Hearn and Matchroom on this board but this is up there with the most bizarre.
Of course this is down to Hearn. He gets up some people's noses so much they're forced to take forbidden nasal sprays.
