Whats the difference between a Continental and Intercontinental title??

For the purpose they serve, there's no difference.

 

My understanding of it: 'Continental' is the equivalent of European title (IBO continental = IBO European) and the 'Intercontinental' is contested between two fighters from different continents, for example European v North American.

 

"Intercontinental" means "between continents," so "intercontinental" is one step bigger, although both are completely made up titles of no importance that have more to do with TV wrestling than boxing.

In reality, there is the world champ, and then, there is everyone else. Actually, I guess, now there are four world champs and everyone else.

 

Up to 10 world champions if you count:
Interm champions
Regular champions
Diamond champions

Add a few More if you count the IBO as well haha
You could add champion in recess etc too

 

Lineal champs
Peoples champs
Uncrowned champs
Emeritas champs
Ring Magazine champs...

 

The are both utterly worthless, meaningless, pointless . Just attempts by the governing bodies to ask for money like the pan handlers they are.
