    I really like Burns but I don’t think anybody really cares about him anymore. It seems like the Crolla defeat finished him for good.

    Said this on a couple of threads but was in a Scottish paper 2/3 weeks ago that he was fighting beltrane in vegas for An eliminator!

    He’s going to be boxing Josh Kelly next. Adam Booth said that Kelly’s next opponent is a former three weight world champion and I think this will be Ricky.

    I saw an interview with Eddie Hearn a few weeks back where he said Burns vs Beltran II was a possibility for one of his USA shows. The newspaper you mention might have seen this and ran with the story like it was a done deal.

    Why would he cash out on this fight in stead if big money against josh Taylor?

    Josh Taylor is in the WBSS now. That ship has sailed unless Taylor shockingly loses in November. Taylor has far bigger fish to fry than Burns now and will be an elite P4Per if he wins the WBSS.

    I’m not saying Burns is definitely boxing Kelly next. I’m just making an assumption based on what Adam Booth said.

    Looking at Boxrec, Claressa Shields is down for fighting at Atlantic City's Broadwalk Hall on November 17th. Presumably Hearn will be involved in this event in some shape or form. Once more semi-warm up fight and then one final pay day for Burns.

    Certainly not mate after stating the day before that ' he could not wait to get in there on Sat' and 'waited all my life for this big unification fight'.

    The Jock fans were mugged big time along with us Sky viewers.

    The broken jaw in the Beltran fight finished him and sad to see a fighter deteriorate so badly in front of our eyes since.
