Same could be said of you posting nothing but Hearn posts. I'd understand if you posted about boxers, instead you post about a 39 year old boxing promoter on a boxing forum. In every post.
You are mixing things up here. First, saying Clenelo is dirty and a drug cheat - FACT. He failed a test, he looked much bigger physically and it's obvious that he wasn't only eating some contaminated meat. Second, Hearn wasn't posting some POSITIVE **** about Clenelo here he only spoke out / wrote what everybody thinks about the deal. Because you can think about Clenelo what you want but he is still one of the biggest draws in boxing, maybe THE biggest draw in boxing and it's a massive deal for DAZN to sign him. And i am saying this although i really hate this cheating piece of drug ****. It's nothing wrong here with Eddie Hearn and his posting.
Well that’s just incorrect. On Saturday I did a full RBR for the Bakole-Hunter fight. I’m a boxing enthusiast and I attend Matchroom cards often in London. But don’t let facts get in the way of your posts.
Do you try this hard with other promoters? As I said earlier something positive happens with DAZN and the first thing you think to do is find whatever you can to somehow make it a bad news story for Eddie Hearn.
Well done for doing that, good job buddy. But really, looking at facts, you do post about Hearn too much. From the outside it looks like an unhealthy obsession. I can't think of any promoter from history that is squeaky clean and doesn't contradict themselves, it's part of the job. Looking at this thread, what should Hearn do in your opinion? Complain about Canelo joining DAZN? Do you think that would be beneficial for Hearn and his fighters? And for Matchroom and Hearn as a whole, do you think boxing, and British boxing would be better placed without him? Should we go back to the days of setanta and 1000 people and some **** house show?
Of course he's a hypocrite, but I'm not sure anyone was looking to a boxing promoter for moral guidance. The fact is everyone in boxing is complicit. Fans will think Canelo is a cheat and still tune into his fights. Fighters will think he's a cheat but still be lining up to fight him. Commissions/Organisations will think he's a cheat but keep appeasing him for those sanctioning fees. Broadcasters will think he's a cheat but still fight to sign him.
This is how you know Hearn is doing something right. This is an boxing enthusiast forum and look at how many threads discuss Eddie Hearn compared to every other promoter.
Yeah I point out tomfoolery from all promoters. Here’s an example: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ot-paid-singleton-from-mcdonagh-fight.604758/
I just think Hearn ought to stick to his guns. If you think someone should be arrested for failing a drugs test, surely you’d oppose them being on the same platform. I’ve already said that I attend Matchroom shows and watch almost all Matchroom shows so clearly I believe Hearn is, in general, good for British boxing. I don’t know why people get so worked up in defending Hearn. This thread is merely to point out clear hypocrisy from him and to highlight once again that fans shouldn’t believe a single word that comes out of his mouth.
It would be difficult in boxing to not work with fighters that have been involved in PEDS, he rightfully said it was wrong, Canelo served his suspiciously short ban and we move on, I don't see the problem. De La Hoya said, "It's very unfortunate that Fernando Vargas felt he had to resort to the use of steroids. We don't really need that in boxing. We cannot tolerate performance-enhancing drugs. It does not make for a level playing field. The same De La Hoya that was likely using PEDs himself later in his career and now works closely with a drug cheat. "But hard work, determination and heart will always beat steroids." -ODLH 2002 That's good to hear, I do find it hard to believe though considering the anti Matchroom sentiment. I don't believe much of what comes out of anyones mouth when it comes to promoters. I assume you have the same conclusion? I'd say most fans know this and thus don't need it highlighting every time it happens.
A boxing promoter saying things to suit their own needs. Who knew eh? Still, I'm all in when and if DAZN comes to the uk.
That was 6 months ago. Canelo served a 6 month ban and is now free to fight. What promoter wouldnt want to add the biggest star in the sport to their platform? Sort yourself out this thread is the thread of a weasel.
It's all business, all Hearn wants is to swin in money. I really dislike Canelo but if I was a promoter and had a chance to get Canelo fighting for me, I'd be buzzing.
