Vladimir Shishkin: Super Middleweight Serpent Of Serpukhov-The Saratovskaya Oblast Lokomotiv.

Vladimir Igorevich Shishkin born 07/26/1991 is a 6'1 Super Middleweight with a 8-0 5 KO's record. Born in Stepnoe, Saratov Region, Russia and fighting out of Serpukhov, Russia. Shishkin pretty much came out of nowhere for me, he didn't have the most notable amateur career, and had little to no fanfare when turning pro. Even then, he got off to an inauspicious start as a pro, putting in some by the numbers UD wins. But something clicked earlier this year, as in maybe he found his groove, maybe he's one of those guys that makes a far better pro than an amateur and even he's now realizing it. This has been a breakout banner year for Vlad. Sure, he just beat Khomitsky and Mohammedi, many others have done the same, but... usually only the elite, or close to it pull it off in the fashion that he did. He dismantled both with the greatest of ease, and ultimately stopped them both. He became the first man to stop Khomitsky in 8 years, the last two were Khurtsidze and Golovkin, was the stoppage devastating... no, but he was being rendered pretty much defenseless, the end was coming. Mohammedi on the other hand, has't been showing up to lay down since his move to 168, he's racked up a series of impressive wins, and should have one other, over Mohoumadi, Zoulikha, and what should have been a wide UD victory over Fedor Chudinov, who may have won one round tops off of the crafty Frenchman. Here's the deal with Iron Nads, he's pretty damn hard to outbox, so if you don't have the power to violently knock him the **** out like Gvozzdyk and Kovalev, he's more than a handful. Well Shishkin did the double, he was the first guy to comprehensively outbox Nadjib since a prime Clev, and then put the cherry on top by violently KOing him in the 10th. Vlad is going to be a tricky mofo for a lot of the guys at 168 to deal with. He's awkward as all hell, has an authoritative jab, his style can be frantic, frenetic and herky jerky, and he has a wickedly hard rhythm to have to figure out. His power is deceptive, he varies up the speed on his shots, and knows when and when not to set down on them, but when he sees the perfect opening, he has enough pop to inflict some damage.
