You make zero sense. Why would a prize fighter not want to be a part of arguably the most intriguing heavyweight fight of this era. The chance to make lots of money is a chance every fighter is willing to wedge even if they think they'll lose. Wilder like any other fighter fights for money dummy.
You've not accounted for exchange rate. 300K x $65 USD = $19.5 mill 1 mill x £19.95 = £19.95 mill Exchange rate 1.3 USD to the £ so it's actually $25.9 mill USD that Joshua generates for 1 mill PPV UK buys. Also Joshua did 1.1 mill buys vs Povetkin, he'd do more vs Wilder, I'd say as much as the Wlad fight if not more so that's 1.5 mill UK buys not 1 mill. That would be $38.9 mill USD. Wilder would need to do a minimum 598K PPV buys to generate as much as Joshua does for this fight in the UK. Plus in terms of live gate Joshua does more let's estimate that at $5 mill more and his over seas rights earned as much as $17 mill according to some reports. If that's to be believed then needs to do 936K buys do get 50/50 which maybe how Hearn has come to the 1 mill number.
Plus DAZN willback him in the U.S to the equivalent of a PPV fight so also brings that to the table. Also Joshua did 1.5m buys vs Wlad and Hearn has said in the past it could break 2m buys which is definitely possible. In all Joshua brings the money and the belts to the table and as such should get the lions share any sensible person can see that and accept it.
Why don't they just do 50/50 and get on with the ****ing thing. Sick of hearing about splits this and that. What's a few million between multi millionaires. The winner cements him self as the main man and can demand whatever he wants against anyone else after that.
Wilder is on the rise and if Joshua and Hearn keep trying to play him short, then he will just go around them. If he ( and I think that he will) beats Fury, then that opens up many doors and tightens the negotiation screws on AJ and Hearn. If that don't soften them, He will then knock out Parker in brutal fashion and they will have to bow down to his flavor because the US will be wide open to who Wilder is.
He also did 1.457 mill vs Parker so it's not like the Wlad fight was a one off. It's pretty clear another unification fight would do just as much if not more than 1.5 mill, maybe even break that 2 mill number like you say.
So you think is fare for Wilder to accept a flat fee and zero percentage of the biggest fight in all of boxing? Are you that thick or just an over obsessed Joshua fanboy?
Those posters are utter hypocritical mongs. They live in Joshua's ballsack No reasoning with them they will just ignore all the shambolic offers from Hearn and disastrous cowardly quotes from Joshua where he admits he doesn't want the wilder fight and focus on painting their own narrative to make it seem Wilder is the one who is problem.
Hearn already said the latest offer was a percentage with a minimum guarantee. Complete speculation on my part but I would guess he offered a 70/30 split with a minimum guarantee of £20m. I would estimate this fight generates £80-100m if it takes place in UK and therefore Wilders payday could be £24-30m if the numbers were good. Based only on Wilder winning the fight with Fury as if he loses the money generated would be a lot less hence why Hearn said only if he wins. Just a guess based on the numbers already offered to Wilder and rejected.
If they were reasonably close in commercial pulling power, titles, global appeal etc. then this would be a feasible solution. The problem is that one man is bringing far more to the table in every aspect, so 50/50 is really asking him to massively subsidize his opponent to give him by far the biggest purse of his career. Again, AJ has done this to an extent in the past to get the Martin or Parker deals across the line. Would he want to concede so much to Wilder though? I wouldn't, because I'd look at who Wilder has fought and conclude he doesn't deserve it. Wilder deserves a percentage. He doesn't deserve 50%.
