https://imgur.com/gallery/WvtUqIp My breakdown on a crazy, beautiful, sad and heartwarming fight between to tough Journeymen.
The entirety of round 4 belongs on his highlight reel. Probably the most dominant performance over a guy who threw over 100 punches in return in history.
Augustus was fun with that drunken master style, could bring the rumble since he won FOTY once with Micky Ward. Oliveira was a great volume puncher, always threw 100 punches a round if I recall, so his stuff is guaranteed action. I watched Ray Oliveira vs Ben Tackie back in March and it has 2,729 punches thrown, and was pretty good. Steve Smoger refereed the bout. Smoger reffed the Augustus bout too, so it's likely a good one. If you type "Ray Oliveira war" into google, this fight and his fight with Zack Padilla come up. The Padilla match was also reffed by Smoger. According to compubox 3,020 punches were thrown.
escudo is among the few people on here that I will readily admit produces vastly superior content to mine.

I was ringside at this fight. Ray suffered some pain in the back of his head, which caused him to hold his head with one hand. Emmanuel did not throw a punch at his head the rest of the fight. I believe it was stopped the next round, followed by some scary moments. It was an unbelievable display of sportsmanship and class.
I shudder to think what could have happened without Augustus’s compassion for Ray. Sadly, Augustus is not doing too well these days and could truly benefit from the good karma this display should have earned him.
From what I heard he got engaged in 2016 and was doing well, and even training for a possible comeback. Has something changed?
