Miller - Dinu is the better fight.

Oquendo knows he can't beat Miller, he was hoping to beat a soft touch in Charr to win the title but now faced against Miller he's not interested. That's a lot of money to turn down but I guess he wants the belt more than he wants the money.

I assume with Oquendo guaranteed a title shot due to his law suit, this means WBA needs to find someone else for him to fight for the WBA belt. Or will the WBA arrange a fight between Miller and Dinu and then order Oquendo to fight the winner which will of course see Oquendo defer his title shot again til a later date until someone less threatening has the belt I guess? Oquendo finally fights for the WBA regular belt in 2040 I'm guessing.

Well that should eliminate Fres from the mandatory obligation he has held for five years without fighting on the back of a defeat at least.

This is a better fight, I'm all good with this news.

oquendo should just **** off. he was undeserving of a title fight in the first place. not Fighting for 4 years and now starting to turn down fights is just pathetic.

This was 10 years ago.... But when was the last time any of you saw a 6'5 HW with that kind of speed? That double uppercut on the inside is incredible.

Dinu also made his countryman Christian Hammer his ***** 3x in the amateurs and was disgracefully ducked by him in the pros.

There’s gotta be more to it. I don’t know how Fres could afford to turn that down.

Very good handspeed indeed. But his skills doesn't look great. He missed widely a lot of punches against that bum.

True. a bit rough around the edges but the talent is(or was) there. I think he'll be the more skilled operator against Miller but the lack of rounds, poor opposition and inactivity over the years might end up hurting him. Miller being over 300 lbs against a live and dangerous opponent might hurt him as well. a lot of x factors in this fight assuming it actually goes down of course. I'm rooting for Dinu but it's going to be a tough fight for him to win.

Surely whatever legal claim he has would be rendered null and void if he refuses the opportunity it grants him.
If he doesn't turn up the case is quashed , onto the next guy.
Unless the contract states he can choose the opponent which i doubt it does.
If this thing goes to court he has no leg to stand on since the title shot was offered to him for a million bucks and he refused to participate.

Maybe he wants a settlement? Pay me step aside or I go back to the courts?

Logic would dictate that but then why didn't Oquendo fight for the title before now? Remember he's had this legal claim for years now and why did Ustinov and Charr fight for the vacant title? Surely he must have passed up the opportunity before now and still had a legal claim.

I hope your right Dino but the pessimist in me thinks we haven't seen the last of Oquendo. Not even sure why I even care to be honest it's only for the WBA regular belt.
