Hope things go as well as they can for Herol. He was a fine boxer in his day-in spite of what some might have you believe.
it's worrying the amount of boxers and ex-boxers with mental health problems Herol, Frank Bruno, Jermain Taylor and Adrien Broner to name a few
He's in that long line of athletes that are mere shells of themselves. He chose his lifestyle, made it close to the top. I wonder if given the chance to be an average joe punching the clock for hourly pay, but health in tact, would he have taken that path instead.
I have fond memories of bomber. I went to school with his daughter. Even got the chance to play box with him in his ex wife's kitchen in the 80S , after he took me for a drive in his Porsche lol. Lovely bloke.
His wife lost her fight with cancer recently. His son is a sportsman and is on the books st Sheffield united only 17 and on loan at Oldham so highly thought of for his age
I didn't know Karen #bladesman, very sad news . It was Jane his first partner who worked for my mum. Nice to hear his son is doing well.
I guess he would have. But the atrocious thing is it goes both ways: he could have lived a normal and frustrating life and always wondered if he could have been successful had he chosen boxing instead.
