Fred Evans KO'd by a Journeyman!

Crazy. Went completely under my radar. He really hasn't achieved anything as a pro and this hints he never will

 

Yeah I'm surprised at the result but if you consider Hearn or FW didn't sign him and as far as I'm aware didn't try to sign him maybe this result shouldn't be so surprising.

 

Didn't he have a fair few out of ring issues that put everyone off of him?

 

Yeah he had incidents in nightclubs etc. I'm sure in Delhi 2010 he caused damage at the hotel where the Welsh team were staying. A talented amateur but it was very apparent he would be a risk trying to guide in the pro ranks.

 

What an amateur Evans was. I remember seeing him stopped in the WSB, I kinda knew then the Pro's was a long shot.

 

did not know this -- heard him raved about as an amateur but as you say diff sports alltogether

 

Journeyman is harsh on Ryan Toms who was a prospect himself once and was actually in the first ever fight broadcast on Boxnation (got one shotted by Steve O Meara)

He is always fit and competitive but loses against supposed major talents like Evans but can pick up wins v anyone not quite at the races or been protected.Look at his win column for proof he comes to fight,credit to him for this win.

 

wonder what happened to omeara decent domestic fighter the liam smith fight was a good fight
