Although having a better career than Gatti, I don't see how he would get in the HOF. Barring the 2 Forrest wins, he lost all of his big fights.

Personally, I feel like he didn't really lose to Spinks, it was a joke of a fight in which Mayorga deserved a rematch for the undisputed WW title. But he went straight to Trinidad and got ruined after that savage beating.

No HOF for Mayorga. Pretty much what Mr. Dority said. Although I did give Spinks the win.

i didnt feel he was really deserving. i will admit that his ward trilogy, and what it has become in boxing lore, should earn him some extra points.

    Gatti is the enigma.
He had so many great fights and was a boxing fans darling.
Fight of the year 2x in a row and i think 4x all together.
One of the greatest action fighters of all time.
He deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame(emphasis on fame)

And when the argument gets made, it's because Gatti got in.
Mayorga has to stand on his own, and he comes short.
