I find it crazy that Gervonta could be offered incredible money to fight farmer yet Haymon and Co would deprive him of that opportunity.
a grown ass man(not really), praying that another man takes him off his chain... on a worldwide platform. doesnt he know this would be evidence in any charges of violating federal law, as it pertains to haymons declared legal role.
Evidence locker: Peter Quitlin turning down $4 million. Adrien Bonehead rturning down $40 million. Haymon is an *******.
Peter Quillin is the softest guy in boxing. This guy is a joke and the sorriest fighter there is. He turns down fights that he may lose to take bribes from Al Haymon. Oh and the first time he took a punch from a good fighter he quit after the first punch. I swear to God, after the first punch Jacobs landed Quillen quit.
I though this had been common knowledge for quite some time now. If the Haymon doesn't want a fight to happen, it doesn't happen, no matter how much the fighter wants it or how much he would earn with it.
If you're Gervonta Davis would you rather be submissive to Al Haymon or De la Hoya? I know who I would pick, nothing wrong here.
From the outside it looks like Tank is collateral damage in Al Haymon's project to leverage the success he enjoyed with FMJ into a restructuring of the boxing landscape. Individual fighters needs come second to protecting whatever deals Haymon has made or even just denying assets to the competition. The problem with keeping your pieces off the table though is that their asset value declines the longer they're out of the spotlight. Whereas in boxing, the next big thing is always around the corner.
