    his title run was almost on the level of a calzaghe but calzaghe did step up imo he should have fought zepda again would he have even won that he was very luvky to get that title that way lol

    I have to say that in recent years I don't think so. Gavin Rees came to mind but even then he was fighting on some high profile cards with the likes of Maccarinelli and so on. And he had the underdog, unheralded angle which made him stand out a little.

    I feel for Flanagan because not everyone can be a natural at self-promotion. How the Crolla fight didn't happen is beyond me. Two world champions, same city, City and United, in and around their peak. It just made sense on every level.

    He can still have plenty of good fights and make some noise on the British and euro scene.

    He’s only 29 but he needs to work on a lot of things, it seems he only really has one gear and needs to change things up big time. It clearly wasn’t working against hooker and prograis but kept on doing the same the whole fight.

    If he can work on power a southpaw who can bang is a nightmare for anyone!

    I see him challenging for a world title again but maybe he needs a new team /promoter
