Yes BJS should have gotten longer.

I'm always truthful. Canelo was held to a different standard than other Mexican fighters who tested for clenbuterol / where meat contamination was used as an excuse. Vargas & Nery weren't suspended and didn't have their fights cancelled.

Canelo was held to a completely different standard, in that he was punished for something that other fighters from Mexico who were in a similar situation (who actually tested at much greater levels than he did) weren't punished at all for.

 

not that he fights more than once a year anymore.

 

We now have three things to hate BJS for. Tormenting drug addicts, getting a good fight cancelled and now, causing you to post yet more of this apologist nonsense for Clenelo.

On reflection I think the third sin is by far the greatest of them all.

 

No kidding. Joe Cal rode their mandatory defense train for years and made them both a bunch of money. Had to get that Mario Viet rematch in, ha ha.

 

The comparisons between Canelo and Saunders are inevitable. We should all be able to agree that BJS was much more deserving of a 6 month suspension than Canelo was. Especially when you consider it was on the heels of the crack video that got BJ fined 100,000 quid and how he was bragging on twitter the week he got popped how he was such a clean fighter .

Then you take into account how he was virtue signaling Canelo earlier this year. On reflection we can conclude that BJS is a nutcase who sniffs stuff up his nose that's on the banned list. Then he makes the most pathetic excuse I ever heard, that it was from a nasal spray, that "he didn't know what was in it". BJS didn't know what he was snorting was banned lmao.

Canelo on the other hand has a valid excuse as there's a well known meat contamination issue in his country which is recognized by WADA. There's really no comparison between the two cases and if you call that "apologist nonsense" that sounds like you might be a big BJS fan or a Canelo hater.

What a shame. Hopefully BJS doesn't end up wasting his talent anymore than he already has.

 

Canelo is hardly some poor Mexican peasant who has no choice but to eat their beef. if he ingests Mexican beef he is knowingly gambling on getting away with it.

 

I like BJS, and I can't quite tell whether he rightfully deserved the ban or not.

But he did seem to be holding that belt hostage forever.

Probably a dumb question, Iam a rookie tho and here to be educated. So is lineal status lost if stripped or vacated? If so is it only lost with that particular governing body or with ring mag aswell?
Was there any benifit in billy joe vacating his title compared to being stripped? Or is it just so he dosent have stripped on his record? Respect.

Then he see's the light and wants to get some bigger fights and more money , so what does he do , he goes to a gym where its been suspected for years roids is in use , He goes to a trainer who has a could'nt care less attitude , and defends the use of banned substances , based solely on we done nothing wrong because it was out of competition and not used on the day ,
He all of a sudden gets the weight off and gets in condition , Mmmm Now he claims its an accident , its a nasal spray , bollocks ,
I used to train a guy with a trimmed down adonis physice , i kicked him out the gym , he was a guy who would shirk the work in the gym , a lazy ******* ,,, when i told him not to come back , he asked why , my answer was only 2 ways to look like you , 1--- work hard ... 2 --- peds your to lazy to work hard so it must be 2 ,, now fook off,,,, after he had gone my suspisions were confirmed , others told me he was trying to get them to juice up .
I just can't see Saunders seeing the light and changing his training to work hard after all these years .
