Usyk better be careful UK Ref Terry O'Connor has been appointed for Bellew fight

He needs to either KO Bellew clean, or beat him up so bad even Adelaide Byrd would score it a draw.

From what I saw in Glasgow this weeks, the Parker-Williams fight, where one guy had basically one arm and fought bravely but OBVIOUSLY lost the fight but was given the decision, I'd be very afraid of a UK type loss.

 

They won’t rob Usyk on the cards and I’m certain that Usyk is far to slick to even allow the slightest possibility of a ref stpppage.

 

MP..Do you think the slickness of Usyk's haircut, or perhaps lack there of, will play any role in this weekend's fight?

 

Robbing Usyk on the cards isn’t in anyone’s interest except Bellew’s. Forget what Hearn says, he wants Usyk to win and look good doing it.

 

PEOPLE: There is this thing in boxing called MONEY. The money and star power is obviously behind Usyk, so no one needs to worry about crooked stoppages and decisions going against him. If anything, it’s the opposite.

Not really worried about the judges or ref in this one do to Usyk most likely schooling the **** out of Bellew and THEM not viewing Bellew as a potential draw in the future.

Now when Usyk squares off against THEIR PED pumped cash ***** Joshua... the ref and judges are definitely a cause for concern. Oleksandr will still beat HGH gut though whether the ‘judges’ award him the victory or not.

 

I do miss Usyks old haircut. He needs to bring it back.

 

I'm not so worried because I'm sure Hearn is looking at a new cash cow going forward so Tony is getting his retirement payout for a job well done and Usyk get a highlight reel ko to get him know in the UK...

Out of interest, does anyone know roughly what these refs get per fight?

Always seems to be the same good ol' boys.

 

It varies greatly but I was never sure if it's a percentage of the purse or not.
I tend to think it works on a scale that maxes out.

I read an excerpt of an interview with Howard "One minute man" Foster and it mentioned something along the lines you can earn up to $2000 pound a fight for the high profile matches but generally they are significantly less. Pretty sure he is a builder by day to pay the mortgage.

KB earnt less than $30k USD for the mega Pac-May fight. Which seems crazy in a way but I guess it is what it is. He ain't the one taking the risk to his health, unless he cops a stray punch.

 

This is the key to this fight. Matchroom, K2, everyone benefits if Usyk wins. While Hearn may be friendly with Bellew and hopes that he performs well, the Matchroom wallet is best served by Usyk winning and the officials for the fight will be well aware of this. If Bellew wins, he would have earned it.

 

Oh well that all but confirms it for me,had an awful feeling about this fight for a while that Usyk is being set up.Oconner is the worst of the worst,kinda like the UKs answer to Toney Weekes.
